Rashida Jones, Nicole Kidman, and Taylor Swift all perfectly matched their bright pouts to their ensembles, and we’re loving the punchy hues for fall. “The key to matching your lipstick to your ensemble without it going too contrived or matchy-matchy is to take a hue from the tone of your dress rather than trying to coordinate it exactly,” said Suzy Gerstein, a celebrity makeup artist who has worked with Leighton Meester and Julie Bowen. Keep in mind: If you think a shade might be too overwhelming, tone it down with a nude reflective gloss. Or, try a lip stain or tinted balm.

The network just announced this morning that it picked up his reality show It’s A Brad, Brad World for a second season, set to debut in 2013. Even celebrity stylists have their ‘Wow’ moments! Brad Goreski’s latest was last week, when he put his funny girl client Rashida Jones in a black and metallic dress by designer-of-the-moment Joseph Altuzarra and strappy silver Jimmy Choo heels. “It was just a dress that was meant for her,” Goreski told InStyle.com at the Trevor Project’s benefit in New York, which supports crisis intervention for LGBTQ teens. “As soon as I saw it, I just knew. You always know when the right dress meets the right person.” So, why did it work so perfectly? “It was easy breezy, he said. “She’s just so effortless and cool.” We agree!

Stella McCartney co-chaired the NSPCC Pop Art Ball, held at the Banqueting House in London yesterday, and welcomed friends Naomi Watts and Rashida Jones to the arts-themed event (all three wore McCartney designs).
