Pink’s new album The Truth About Love is out today! It’s her sixth album in twelve years—remember the good ‘old days of “There You Go”?!—and we’ve loved watching her style transform from hot magenta spikes to platinum pompadour (just like Miley’s new look, which Pink says she “rocks way harder than I do”) and all the iterations before her latest “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” release. But which look was your favorite? Tell us by voting in the poll below, and then go crank up some “Get the Party Started” just for the fun of celebrating Pink and all of her awesomely pop-punkness. You know she’s always down to get you in a fun mood! More
We caught up with P!nk’s makeup artist, Kathy Jeung, and got the behind the scenes dish on the CoverGirl’s newest spokesperson’s super sexy look at the VMAs last night. A lot of prep work went into the superstar’s beauty style—Jeung showed P!nk 8-10 sketches before the show! In the end fashion dictated the decision, “Seeing her Stella McCartney red carpet dress in person, a glorious column of metallic gunmetal, confirmed my makeup idea: a soft metallic depth around the eyes and keeping the rest of her face soft, glowing and bronzed.” Jeung describes the pre-game vibe as warm and comfortable, “Alecia (P!nk’s given name) usually likes to play music from her playlists, but on VMA day we were blessed with a visit by Willow, so her giggles and laughter were our music!” Jeung adds, “Since we only had a short amount of time for a makeup change for her performance look, we both loved the idea of a red carpet look that I could quickly transform in one or two steps.” Click through the gallery to see her next look!
The MTV Video Music Awards honor the best and brightest of the music industry and are always an amazing show for lovers of fun fashion. But this year, we saw a turn for monochromatic (and dare we say, more mature!) looks from the stars on the red carpet. Rihanna stunned in a gorgeous white open-back gown and her new short pixie cut, Taylor Swift (though we thought she would go for all red) also opted for an all-white J. Mendel silk crepe pantsuit, Miley Cyrus showed off her new short platinum ‘do with a long black gown from Emilio Pucci, and P!nk chose a floor-length Stella McCartney silver gown. There’s probably only one man who could cause MTV to completely reschedule the Video Music Awards: President Barack Obama. In order to prevent airing the awards at the same time as his Democratic National Convention speech this Thursday, MTV has bumped the start up to 8 p.m. EDT, an hour before its original 9 p.m. slot. Obama’s speech is slated to start around 10 p.m. EDT on all the major networks. Performers expected to appear at this year’s VMAs include Rihanna, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, and P!nk. It’s a busy night for the U.S. of A!

The always pop-culture-moment-making MTV Video Music Awards are next Thursday, September 6th at 8 p.m. EST, and this year’s lineup gives us a lot to look forward to. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Green Day, new CoverGirl P!nk, Alicia Keys, and One Direction are slated to take the stage, as well as relative newcomer Frank Ocean, and (just added!) Demi Lovato, who will perform at the pre-show. The VMAs always give us plenty to talk about (last year Beyoncé announced her pregnancy on the red carpet!), and this year should be no different. Nominees include InStyle cover girl Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry with her colorful “Wide Awake,” and (of course) Carly Rae Jepsen, whose “Call Me Maybe” is loved by everyone. Her name may be P!nk, but her new hue is all turquoise! The singer and new face of CoverGirl stepped out wearing teal highlights in her asymmetrical crop. Of course, Pink—or Alecia Moore to some—is no stranger to edgy hair colors. Moore has famously sported her signature magenta for years (here’s a reason to queue up her “There You Go” video), occasionally switching it out for an icy platinum blond shade. Do you like her new look? Tell us in the comments!

P!nk is the newest face of CoverGirl! ”Joining a group of women who have always inspired me—to laugh out loud, let my guard down, or play around with my beauty look—is such an honor,” she said in a release. The new mom and singer, fresh off her fifth studio album, The Truth About Love, joins the long list of smart, sexy women representing the brand, including Sofia Vergara, Ellen DeGeneres, and Taylor Swift. It’s a girl for Pink! The singer and her freestyle motocross motorcycle racer husband Carey Hart announced the arrival of her first child on Twitter last night. “We are ecstatic to welcome our new beautiful healthy happy baby girl, Willow Sage Hart. She’s gorgeous, just like her daddy. #beyondblessed,” she Tweeted. And with a girl, Pink’s mother’s prophecy came true: “My mom has always wished me a daughter just like me,” Pink told Ellen Degeneres when she announced her pregnancy on the show in November. Congrats to the new parents!
