The boys of One Direction (from left: Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Niall Horan) have certainly come a long way from their days as contestants on the U.K. X Factor. Last week, the British-Irish pop group capped off their huge year by playing on one of music’s most renowned stages, New York City’s Madison Square Garden, as part of their North American tour. “Playing MSG, it was absolutely incredible,” Niall told InStyle.com at Z100’s Jingle Ball this weekend, right before he and his bandmates went for round two at the Garden. “It was the biggest moment of our career so far.” Zayn seconded Horan’s comment. “There have been so many standout moments for us, but if I had to pick out one—MSG was amazing,” he said. And that’s not all: he even got a tattoo on his forearm with the lettering “MSG” in honor of the occasion, and Louis also got inked following their performance! It was certainly a meaningful night for the boy banders!
