The stars played peekaboo at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards last night! Celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Emmy Rossum, and Taylor Swift all chose to wear designs that incorporated sheer elements (and all by the same designer, Zuhair Murad). Lopez’s gold skirt was see-through, Rossum’s side panels were covered in polka dots only, and Swift’s royal blue mini featured a crackle pattern that showed off her shoulders. But no one tried to do sheer quite like Once Upon a Time star Jennifer Morrison, who walked the carpet in a completely transparent gown (save for her skivvies) by Kristian Aadnevik. That’s a wrap! Elie Saab closed out Paris Fashion Week, and our editors are headed back to the States as we speak. But not before we round up the best of everything they saw in the City of Light! Some highlights: Zuhair Murad‘s peek-a-boo dresses (perfect for super-fan Jennifer Lopez), Garrett Hedlund and Kirsten Dunst at Saint Laurent (for a very special reason), Chanel‘s Earth-conscious set, and Kate Moss, hitting the catwalk just for Louis Vuitton. Jennifer Lopez’s two looks at last night’s Golden Globes left no question in anybody’s mind: the singer has one of the most rockin’ figures around. With a little help from designer Zuhair Murad, Lopez first walked the red carpet in a sheer nude body-contouring long-sleeved gown with strategically placed lace embroidery, then changed into a plunging black silk crepe halter dress complete with feather train for the after-parties. Vote below: which of the two dresses do you like better?

Twilight brought in some big bucks! Breaking Dawn – Part 2 grossed $141.3 million in its opening weekend—making in the eight biggest opening weekend opening of all time—as well as $199.6 million internationally. The mega-appeal is due in part to the cast, including Kristen Stewart, who embarked on an around-the-world tour to promote the finale movie in the series and worked with stylist Tara Swennen to pack some of the boldest, brightest, and best outfits we’ve ever seen her wear. In Berlin, she shined in a gold Elie Saab dress; in Madrid, she glowed in sunny yellow Christian Dior; in London, she wore a black lace and sequin jumpsuit by Zuhair Murad; and in Hollywood, she dazzled in an illusion Zuhair Murad gown. “This is unreal!” Taylor Swift said when she accepted her Favorite Female Country Star award at tonight’s 40th Annual American Music Awards, a show that featured 17 performances, broadcasted in 198 countries, with one mega-tribute to the legendary Dick Clark. “I’m really, really happy right now.” And that was just one of the happy moments of the evening, which kicked off with a red carpet that would make any fashion-lover smile with its mix of intricate embroidery and high-shine sparkles. Taylor Swift ditched her Red theme in favor of golden Zuhair Murad, Heidi Klum showed off her supermodel legs in a gilded Alexandre Vauthier mini, Carrie Underwood rocked her country charm in an electric purple Abed Mahfouz gown, and breakout star Carly Rae Jepsen played to her girl next door appeal in a sequin Gomez-Gracia halter. Our Look of the Day top picks this week were all about nudes, black and white (or both!), and green! Taylor Swift arrived for MTV’s Europe Music Awards in an embroidered silk chiffon gown from J. Mendel, Kristen Stewart hit the Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 Los Angeles premiere wearing a sheer corseted Zuhair Murad dress, Emma Stone lit up the CFDA Fashion Fund Awards with her jewel-tone Burberry look, Keira Knightley premiered Anna Karenina in a gorgeous embroidered Erdem design, and Jennifer Aniston honored Ben Stiller while wearing a strapless Valentino number. Which one is your favorite? Tell us by voting in the poll below!
Look who played peekaboo! This week, red carpets were full of very sheer looks, with Kristen Stewart, Christa B. Allen, Teresa Palmer, and Ashley Greene all wearing see-through styles in a 48-hour time period. Stewart chose Zuhair Murad for Twilight’s London premiere, Allen worked Catherine Malandrino at GQ’s Man of the Year Awards, Palmer went bare in Emilio Pucci for Twilight’s screening in Hollywood, and Greene tried lace Wes Gordon for the CFDA Fashion Fund Award ceremony. While these looks dare to bare, the look is actually something many women can pull off. So you don’t expose too much, look for pieces with built-in coverage, like double-layer pockets and panels or strategically placed prints. Most importantly, this isn’t a grab-and-go shopping venture—the fabric has little hanger appeal, so you must try it on!
