Hollywood, British Royalty, and the fashion industry collided yesterday evening in London’s Hyde Park at the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party! Co-hosted by L’Wren Scott, the annual fundraiser for the modern and contemporary art institute—a favorite spot of the late Princess Diana— brought together a wide range of notable attendees including Alice Eve (in L’Wren Scott) and Sarah Jessica Parker (in Naeem Khan), who posed alongside the designer in front of the soirees centerpiece, the 2013 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, as well as Naomi Campbell, and Kate Moss (in Saint Laurent). Princess Beatrice of York (in L’Wren Scott) and Glee‘s Matthew Morrison were also on-hand at the midsummer’s night fete where they mingled in the spacious gardens and enjoyed a performance by buzzed-about British artist, Jake Bugg. The Wimbledon tennis tournament kicked off at the All England Club this week, where the world’s top tennis players gathered to play their hearts out (except for Rafael Nadal, who shockingly got knocked out by the 135th seed Steve Darcis after the first round). And while the players have to adhere to an all-white dress code on the grassy courts—one of the strictest of all tennis tournaments—the guests, well, do not. Pippa Middleton (in Sandro), Naomi Campbell, and Downton Abbey‘s Michelle Dockery and Laura Carmichael all took their courtside seats in bright spring ensembles. The festivities surrounding the Academy Awards continued in Hollywood yesterday when Essence hosted its sixth annual Black Women in Hollywood luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The pre-Oscars soiree was filled with stars, including Kelly Rowland and supermodel Naomi Campbell (in Azzedine Alaïa), who were on hand to celebrate the day’s honorees, Oprah Winfrey, Gabrielle Union (in Versace and an Oroton clutch), Bond girl Naomie Harris, and the youngest nominee in Oscars history, nine-year-old Beasts of the Southern Wild star Quvenzhané Wallis. During her acceptance speech for Breakthrough Performance, Wallis thanked her on-set babysitter—she was only six when she made the film.

After 16 days, the 2012 Olympics came to an end in London last night with a Brit-centric closing ceremony that included one mega British fashion moment! The most famous faces to ever come from the United Kingdom joined together to strut down a stadium-size, Union Jack-shaped runway to the tune of David Bowie’s “Fashion.” (Fashion! Turn to the left! Fashion! Turn to the right! We are the goon squad, and we’re coming to town!) Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell (both in Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen) led Lily Cole (in Erdem), Lily Donaldson (in Vivienne Westwood), Georgia May Jagger (in Victoria Beckham), and more, all wearing glittering gold gowns designed by the country’s famous fashion houses. Click through the gallery for all the details on the closing ceremony’s model moment. (Next stop, Rio! The Brazilians better bring it! Gisele, that means you.)

Supermodel Naomi Campbell returned to the runway at Milan Fashion Week! Roberto Cavalli had the supermodel close his all-out luxe fall 2012 show, which featured fur bubble skirts, beaded T-shirts, tiered snake-print gowns, and sexy flared-leg trousers. Leopard heels, along with leather gloves, box frame bags, and oversize sunglasses completed the glam lineup. See our favorite looks in the gallery.
