Exclusive The Good Wife Fashion Details: Season 4, Episode 19

A new episode of The Good Wife premiered last night, and it proved just how much your fashion can reflect your personality—especially within the context of characters on a TV show. Case in point: Julianna Margulies’s lawyer character Alicia Florrick (shown in Prada) was the complete opposite of guest star Morena Baccarin’s sex-crazed and money-hungry Isobel Swift (shown in Alexander McQueen). “We were trying to exude sex with Isobel and her clothes, and we don’t do that with Alicia,” costume designer Daniel Lawson told InStyle.com. In fact, this season, he’s making Alicia look more professional and buttoned-up than ever. “She’s been doing more ensembles this season, which gives a nod to her making partner and making more money,” Lawson explained. “That means looking more put together than previous seasons. Golden Globes 2013 Video: Celebrities Show Off Their Shoes!

What’s underneath a great Golden Globes gown? Fabulous shoes! We asked the stars attending the InStyle and Warner Bros. After-Party to reveal their designer footwear for the evening, and captured all the high heel action on video. ”I have never worn a higher heel in my whole entire life!” Michelle Monaghan said of her Casadei pair. “God bless the platform! I hope to God it never goes out of style.” Homeland‘s Morena Baccarin echoed the praise of great height, explaining that her Roger Vivier’s kept her “comfortable, elevated, happy,” while Rachel Zoe kept her toes happy by giving her Brian Atwood’s a test run before the big night. “I wore them on New Year’s Eve, and I danced all night,” she said of her pal’s designs. “I love wearing his shoes!” See the shoes of Sofia Vergara, Nikki Reed, Megan Hilty, and more in the video above!

Golden Globes 2013: Get Morena Baccarin’s Makeup

Homeland‘s Morena Baccarin and her makeup artist Lina Hanson decided the best match for her navy Valentino dress and wavy hair was a charcoal metallic smoky eye and a pop of color on the lip. Hanson started by prepping Baccarin’s flawless skin with with Lina Hanson Global Face Serum ($85 at linahanson.com). “It gives your skin an amazing glow and it makes foundation easier to blend,” Hanson told InStyle.com. Hanson used her fingertips to blend Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation ($62 at kohgendocosmetics.com) beneath an undereye concealer around the eyes.  For the sexy statement eye she applied Josie Maran Cosmetics eyeshadow in Magic ($36 at josiemarancosmetics.com) to her eyelids and blended the shadow up to her crease. “Then I smudged the same shadow in the lower lash line, added several coats of mascara to both her upper and lower lashes, and added a few individual lashes to the outer corners of her eye,” Hanson said. Her lip is Gabriel Cosmetics Zuzu Luxe Lipstick ($18 at gabrielcosmeticsinc.com) which is gluten-free! Hanson described the pre-show primping as “A fun, glam day!” Sure looks like it!

“I’m so excited to follow in the footsteps of such amazing young women,” Francesca Fisher-Eastwood told us at InStyle & HFPA’s Golden Globes Award Season Kick-Off Party where she was crowned Miss Golden Globe for the upcoming January 13, 2013 ceremony. “My whole family is proud of me. It’s an industry I grew up knowing, so it’s exciting to be at the best party celebrating that history!” The daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher found herself in good company during the bash at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood. Former Miss Golden Globes Gia Mantegna and Rainey Qualley were on hand to help kick off the Globes countdown, alongside Lea Michele, Malin Akerman, Diane Kruger who joined sponsors World Gold Council and Vitamin Water in toasting the town’s hardest-working television and film stars. “Cinema is a universal language, so I always come out to support the Golden Globes,” Kruger told InStyle.com. “They’re gracious!” Click through to see more photos from the party!
