Inside Dior Beauty’s Dinner Celebrating Hollywood Glamour

“It’s so beautiful!” Mad Men bombshell Christina Hendricks said when she walked into the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood—which got an extra dose of romance thanks to gorgeous floral centerpieces by florist Joseph Free—to celebrate a night honoring Hollywood glamour hosted by Dior Beauty along with Kate Mara, Ashley Madekwe, Emmy Rossum, Dita Von Teese, and more. Nikki Reed loved the flower arrangements so much that she grabbed a bundle to take home to her husband, Paul McDonald. “He loves flowers! These will make him happy,” Reed said. And that wasn’t the only treat she walked away with—each guest took home a bag filled with not-yet-released makeup items from Dior’s new lineup. Added Krysten Ritter: “It’s all great lipstick, gloss, nail polish, and makeup. I’m so blessed. It’s like candy!” Click through the gallery to see more exclusive photos from the event.

Holiday Hairstyle We Love: Kate Mara’s Waterfall Braid

Which style do you like more—a side braid or a low bun? Why choose? Kate Mara incorporated both looks into her side-swept curls. At first glance her style looks simple, but the intricate details added a romantic touch. “We wanted her hair to feel young, romantic, and airy,” said her hairstylist Christopher Naselli, who used Oribe’s Foundation Mist ($22; oribe.com) to give the updo staying power. He added texture with a curling iron, then start braiding a piece along the right side of Mara’s head, stopping at the nape of her neck. Naselli pulled the remainder of her hair to the left side, then twisted it into a low bun. Gorgeous!

Deadfall stars Olivia Wilde (in L’Wren Scott) and Kate Mara (in Jason Wu) were both on-hand at ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood to screen their new movie, which follows the aftermath of a family after a casino heist gone wrong. Found It! Kate Mara’s Shimmery Nude Lip

Last night at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball in New York City, Kate Mara accented her Jason Wu dress with a ’60s-inspired eye and nude lip, courtesy of her makeup artist Nick Barose. But not just any flesh-toned lipstick would do! Barose created a lip with dimension, and an elegant shimmer to boot. “You don’t want a nude that’s too nude,” he said. “It has to have a hint of color in it to keep the eye-lip combo from looking washed out.” Barose began by lining the star’s lips with YSL’s Lip Liner Pencil in Cognac ($28; nordstrom.com), a one-size-fits-all neutral. A sweep of Jouer’s sheer coral gloss in Shell ($20; jouercosmetics.com) finished the look. We love it!
