John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s Couple Style: “We Don’t Coordinate”

Soon to be newlyweds, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen and R&B singer John Legend have been busy lately making their rounds on the red carpet. Appearing at consecutive events in Los Angeles for the Grammys and New York for Fashion Week, the on-the-go couple is never far apart. “We get ready together!” Teigen told InStyle.com at the MuiscCares Person of the Year Gala. However, for Teigen, the process is just a tad bit longer. “It takes me four hours and he’s done in about 20 minutes. He’s so easy, it’s ridiculous.” And while the stylish couple always complement each other on the red carpet, they steer away from intentionally matching. “We don’t really coordinate ever,” she continued. “He’s usually always going to be in black, white, or blue.” But will they coordinate on their wedding day? We’ll have to wait and see!

Chrissy Teigen seemed to be practicing her bridal look at the annual amfAR Gala at Wall Street Cipriani in New York last night, wearing a stunning white column by Roland Mouret. But the bride-to-be has a different designer in mind for her big day with singer John Legend. “I’m definitely going to be going with Vera Wang,” Teigen told InStyle.com at the event. “She’s fantastic. It’s going to be romantic and soft.” She wasn’t willing to give away too many details though. “I want to surprise John! It’s funny, he likes very natural—he wants you to look the same on your wedding day, he’s one of those guys. So I don’t want to do anything too crazy,” the Sports Illustrated model said. Sounds like a dreamy scenario to us!

John Legend Turns 34 Today! Find Out His Favorite Song of the Year

John Legend turns 34 today! The soulful singer has had many successes like his popular hit “Ordinary People” and most recently his original song for the Django Unchained soundtrack. But the song he’ll most likely be turning up on his birthday today? Gotye’s mega-hit “Somebody that I Used to Know.” “It was really a phenomenal pop song and had such a distinct personality,” Legend told reporters at the Django Unchained premiere in New York. “It really stood out from everything else. I think that it’s one of the best records of the year.” Crank it up, John, it’s your day!

Celebrate the holidays a little early with country’s biggest stars! Tonight, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles host the CMA Country Christmas special on ABC for the third time, bringing a little bit of country to viewers at home. The special will feature performances from Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, John Legend, and Colbie Caillat. And you’ll also see Nettles in her pregnancy glory, as the special was taped before she gave birth to son Magnus Hamilton Miller on December 7th. Chrissy Teigen on Wedding Planning, John Legend, and Jennifer Aniston’s Ring

Chrissy Teigen is in full-on preparation mode. Between planning her wedding to singer John Legend and readying herself for the epic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, she also hosted last night’s Resolve Gala in support of The Resolution Project, a non-profit that supports social venture projects around the world. “It’s all mental,” the model, dressed in Rick Owens, told us of how she’s managing her busy schedule before rattling off her checklist. For the swim photo shoot: “It’s all portion control. It’s worth it because I think, ‘OK, in one month I can have Taco Bell!’” For the wedding, “We just finished the save the date portion of it. That’s all we have done!” And is she taking note of any other famous brides? “Jennifer Aniston!” she said. “Her ring is absolutely enormous. They seem like such a cool couple. Somehow they made that big of a diamond look effortless and cool.” True—though Teigen’s cushion-cut sparkler is similarly blinding!

They put a ring on it! Matthew McConaughey and John Legend both proposed to their longtime girlfriends over the holiday weekend. McConaughey went public with his engagement to Brazilian model Camila Alves on his WhoSay account: ”Just asked camila to marry me, merry Christmas,” he wrote. The couple have two children together. Meanwhile, Legend popped the question to his Sports Illustrated swimsuit model girlfriend Chrissy Teigen while vacationing in the Maldives, People reports. Congrats to the happy couples!
