Hollywood headed to the capitol over the weekend to attend the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington D.C. The star-studded evening, attended by A-listers like Katy Perry (in Giambattista  Valli), Sofia Vergara (in Herve L. Leroux), Nashville stars Connie Britton (in Temperley London) and Hayden Panettiere (in Katherine Kidd), Jessica Paré (in Antonio Berardi), and Gabby Douglas (in David Meister), was filled with laughs courtesy of the night’s host Conan O’Brien and President Obama, who poked fun at himself and O’Brien in his humorous speech. “I understand that when the Correspondents’ Association was considering Conan for this gig, they were faced with that age-old dilemma: Do you offer it to him now, or wait for five years and then give it to Jimmy Fallon?” the President ribbed (watch his speech here). Hayden Panettiere on Nashville’s Fashion: Cowboy Boots > Sparkly Mini-Dresses

Mar 27, 2013 @ 10:15 am

There’s a new Nashville on tonight (at 10/9c on ABC), and that means a new dose of Tennessee style to go with it! And while Hayden Panettiere‘s Juliette Barnes loves a good sparkly stage look (à la fellow country crooner Taylor Swift), the actress admits that those minis aren’t always the easiest looks to wear. “I love them until a half-hour in and you have to start to wire up and you’re, like, ‘Where am I going to put all these packs?’ Those dresses barely cover my goodies!” the 23-year-old actress lamented to InStyle.com at the series’ PaleyFest panel earlier this month. “When you’re trying to go to the bathroom, it’s a no-go situation.” Which is why in her own life, she explained, her style has become increasingly casual. “Cowboy boots go with everything! Especially in Nashville. I can go out, no matter if I’m going to a beautiful restaurant, and look respectable in jeans and a T-shirt.” Sounds like a cozy deal to us!

Nashville’s Hayden Panettiere Is as Obsessed with Connie Britton’s Hair as the Rest of Us

Mar 13, 2013 @ 4:00 pm

Nashville‘s Hayden Panettiere gets to spend a lot of time looking at her co-star Connie Britton’s glorious head of strawberry curls—but that doesn’t mean she’s any less obsessed with it than the rest of us. “Her hair is unreal and real, it’s a thing,” the actress said at a Nashville panel during PaleyFest in Los Angeles. “There’s a picture of her in the makeup trailer with her son, Eyob, over her shoulders. And Eyob’s so beautiful, but I almost didn’t notice him because of her hair! So, yeah, it’s a thing.” And you can see how you’d look blessed with Connie’s lustrous mane, too. Simply upload your picture into our Hollywood Makeover Tool and ta-da—you’ll have Connie’s enviable tresses without ever stepping into a salon. Then tune into Nashville Wednesdays on ABC to see Britton’s Rayna James ‘do in action (and swoon).

Some big changes are in store on tonight’s all-new episode of Nashville. First, Deacon packs up his guitar and joins Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) on tour, stunning Rayna (Connie Britton) and prompting everyone to do some major soul searching. While Deacon may need time to adjust to the “Vegas production” that is the Juliette Barnes show, we can’t get enough of the added dance numbers (think smoke, sequins, fringe, and leather shorts!). Back in Nashville, Scarlett (Claire Bowen) and Gunnar struggle to make rent with tips from low-rate gigs, while Avery walks the line between his past and his present. Plus, Teddy and Peggy (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) reunite and it’s oh-so-good. Tune in tonight at 10 p.m. EST on ABC, and brace yourself for the jaw-dropping ending!

Nashville Tonight: Connie Britton’s L.A. to Tennessee Trip!

It was a whirlwind week for the cast of Nashvillestars Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton both received Golden Globe nominations for their roles on the show and made knock-out appearances on the red carpet for Sunday’s ceremony. “I have to fly back to Nashville tomorrow, and I’m completely not packed or ready to go,” Britton told InStyle at the Awards, opting to toast her costars Sunday night instead of fretting about her flight. “In my brain I was trying to coordinate all the things that I’m going to have to think about in the morning, and then I just said, ‘Forget it. I’m not going to worry about that right now.’” After a long night of celebrating at the Globes, it was back to business on-set in Tennessee. Expect a rocky start on tonight’s all-new episode when the ladies finally kick off their on-screen arena tour, without Deacon in tow. We’re hoping their stage costumes will be just as dazzling as their red carpet looks! Tune in to Nashville tonight at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.

Nashville: Juliette’s 2.68-Carat Diamond Engagement Ring

Jan 9, 2013 @ 4:19 pm

New year, new Nashville! ABC’s hit musical drama returns tonight with an all-new episode aptly titled, “Be Careful of Stones That You Throw.” The biggest stone being tossed around? Juliette’s (Hayden Panettiere) platinum and diamond engagement ring from her pro-football playing beau, Sean (Tilky Jones). The country star happily shows off her giant sparkler on tonight’s episode and we have all the details:

• Nashville costume designer Susie DeSanto told InStyle.com that the ring is an Art Deco ring, circa 1925.
• The ring is actually on loan from Walton’s Antique Jewelry in Franklin, TN.
• The European cut center stone weighs 2.68 carats and is surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds.

Who wouldn’t say yes to bling like that? It’s not all bliss though (naturally!) as Rayna (Connie Britton) and Teddy’s marriage continues to falter and few people are happy to celebrate Juliette and Sean’s new union. Tune in to Nashville tonight at 10 p.m. EST on ABC to see what shakes down— there’s a major surprise is in store!

Nashville: The Rayna and Juliette Duet Happens Tonight

Nov 28, 2012 @ 2:41 pm

The time has finally come! A duet with Rayna James (Connie Britton) and Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) has been on the horizon since episode one and, tonight, we’ll finally get the diva duel we’ve been waiting for, matching outfits and all. Plus, while Rayna and Juliette are fighting for the spotlight, Scarlett (Clare Bowen) is standing up to boyfriend Avery and warming up to songwriting partner Gunnar again. “We’ve all been in that relationship, haven’t we? All of a sudden, there’s a little bit of light shining somewhere else and they don’t like it,” Bowen told InStyle.com of her character’s troubled relationship with Avery.  “It’s only going to get worse. It gets very interesting.” Watch the drama play out on Nashville at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
