The latest incarnation of Shakespeare’s iconic love story Romeo + Juliet hits theaters today, and stars Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth as the beautiful-yet-tragic star-crossed lovers. As you watch the renaissance film, take a close look at the ring the two lovebirds exchange. The bauble is a piece the Swarovski team designed for the flick—they also created the mask Juliet wears to the party—and InStyle.com got an up-close look when the original designs were on display at the Toronto International Film Festival last month. Now, you can be Juliet, too (minus the drama): The jewelry company designed a replica of the ring for R&J lovers, available for $100 at swarovski.com. The piece is just one in their 15-item collection inspired by the movie, complete with hearts, swords and, of course, roses, for which, by any other name, would smell as sweet. Shop the full collection at swarovski.com.

Confession time: Hailee Steinfeld‘s long, shiny strands never fail to give us hair envy, and her new bangs definitely have us considering cutting a set of our own! Earlier this week at the Young Hollywood Party in Los Angeles, the star showed off her wispy fringe, which hit right below the brow. The longer length allows the style to be worn in a variety of ways, and they even minimize the awkward growing-out period — once the bangs pass her eyes, they’ll blend seamlessly into the rest of Steinfeld’s layers. Does Hailee’s new ‘do have you inspired? Click through our gallery for more celebrity fringe ideas!

Oh Romeo, sweet Romeo! Hailee Steinfeld (in Prabal Gurung) posed with her on-screen Romeo, Douglas Booth, at the Los Angeles premiere of their much anticipated film, Romeo and Juliet. The two young actors have taken on the roles in the Hollywood adaptation of Shakespeare’s most beloved tragedy, where two star-crossed lovers from two enemy families fall in love and ultimately meet tragic ends. The film also features an all-star cast including Homeland’s Damian Lewis (Lord Capulet), Ed Westwick (Tybalt), Paul Giamatti (Friar Laurence), and more. We can’t wait to see our favorite actors speak in Shakespearean verse (or should we say, iambic pentameter)! Catch Romeo and Juliet in theaters nationwide on October 11th.

Hailee Steinfeld served as a modern muse at Estee Lauder’s party on Thursday night, and her role continues — the vampy lip color she wore is giving us serious makeup inspiration! “We went for a more-current silent film star look with burgundy stained lips, pink cheeks, and a plum smoky eye,” said her makeup artist Nick Barose. “I chose Estee Lauder’s Plum Fizz ($26; esteelauder.com), a sheer, creamy burgundy color.” Because the color is already dark, Barose recommends skipping the lip liner and blurring out the edges of the lip instead. A mis-matched liner can create a severe, contrasting effect, so we recommend tracing the shape of your lips with a concealer afterward to clean up any unexpected smudges. “Apply the color directly from the tube, add extra in the center of the lips, then blot it with your pinky,” Barose added. He finished the look with a sweep of lavender eye shadow, but since the lip makes a big enough statement on its own, you can even opt to wear it solo.

Comic-Con International 2013 kicked off in San Diego this week! So far, it started out strong. Hailee Steinfeld and Asa Butterfield talked about Ender’s Game; Divergent’s Shailene Woodley and Theo James—the stars of the most talked-about YA novel-to-movie of 2014—came out to amp up the buzz; and X-Files fans went wild (us included) over the reunion of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny reprised their roles for the appearance on TV Guide’s panel celebrating the show’s 20th anniversary, entering the darkened stage wielding flashlights. “The show was so flexible and could incorporate so many ideas that we could do it forever,” Duchovny told the crowd. If only! Click to take an inside look at the convention now. The panels, debuts, and star arrivals will continue throughout the weekend, so come back to InStyle.com on Monday to get the full recap of who wore what and why.
