Calling all Spice fans: The wait is finally over! In June, we reported that a Spice Girls musical was in the works, and the show officially opens tonight on London’s West End, with all five members of the group expected to attend the premiere! Viva Forever follows a group of four musically-inclined girlfriends on their journey to stardom, and features the nineties pop phenomena’s most iconic hits (think “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life”). “My waterproof mascara [is] going on,” Emma Bunton, or Baby Spice, tweeted. “I think there might be tears tonight!” The feeling is mutual! Viva Forever’s performances begin tonight at London’s Picadilly Theatre, with shows scheduled to run until June 1, 2013. We’re definitely adding a trip across the Atlantic to our holiday wish list!

Talk about ending the Olympics on a high note—The Spice Girls  reunited for the Olympics Closing Ceremony last night! And their performances of “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life” left us wanting more, more, more. “We did it!” Victoria Beckham—who looked more posh than ever—Tweeted to the rest of the group. “I love you girls so much!” We loved how they gave a modern revamp to their signature ‘90s looks, from Ginger Spice’s Union Jack dress to Sporty Spice’s athletic getup. (And Scary Spice Mel B loved her look so much, she wore it to the after parties!) Take a look back at each girl’s signature style, from ‘90s to now in the gallery.

See Geri Halliwell’s New Swimwear Line

Dec 30, 2010 @ 2:16 pm

Geri Halliwell is a swimsuit designer! The former Spice Girl partnered with British retailer Next to create a collection of swimwear named Geri by Next, which includes one-pieces, bikinis, and cover-ups in floral and cheetah-print patterns and bright colors like pink, white and blue. And not only did Halliwell design the line, she modeled it, too. The 38-year-old mother of one was spotted in Miami during Thanksgiving week for her photo shoot. “It’s about inspiring confidence with great looking swimwear for all body shapes,” Halliwell told DailyMail. The pieces go on sale on NextDirect.com in January for $28 to $78. See pieces from Halliwell’s upcoming swimwear collection in the gallery.

Cartier International Polo Party Brings Out the Stars

Last weekend, a mix of British and American stars and socialites headed to Surrey, England to celebrate at Cartier’s International Polo Party. And we love seeing them in their summertime best! Both Cat Deeley (who is always fashion-forward on SYTYCD) and Leslie Mann opted to wear flowing, printed designs (Deeley’s was vintage, Mann’s Louis Vuitton) to the polo match, while Camilla Belle kept things crisp in white (with just a dash of color). Geri Halliwell broke the party’s casual fashion mold by sporting a skin-tight, figure-flattering Herve Leger minidress. The highlight of the event (besides the match)? The traditional afternoon tea, of course.

See more from this week’s hottest parties.
