Academy Awards host and Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane is doing double duty this Oscar season! Breaking from tradition for the first time since 1972, this year’s host will participate in the announcement of the Academy Award nominations at 5:30 a.m. PST this Thursday at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, making it the second time ever in the ceremony’s 85-year history. He won’t be alone up there, though—he’s getting an assist from Emma Stone. “I’ll be announcing the Oscar nominees on Jan. 10 at 5 a.m. with Emma Stone,” Macfarlane Tweeted. “We’ll also be revealing the name of Kanye & Kim’s baby (Zeus).” There’s your taste of the humor you can expect for the big night! After some time out of the spotlight, Ryan Gosling returned to cuddle up with his Gangster Squad co-star Emma Stone in Los Angeles for a celebratory day of press and photos. The film, which also stars Josh Brolin (left), is set in mob-laden 1940s Hollywood, and depicts Gosling as a cop-turned-informative who goes undercover to try to destroy the mafia from the inside out. Although she has been showcasing her sunny highlights on and off the big screen, Emma Stone’s fiery red strands continue to give Tinseltown hair envy! We spoke to celebrity hair colorist Tracey Cunningham at Los Angeles’s Mèche Salon, who told us the star’s bold garnet was one of the most-desired shades among her clients. “Redheads will ring in the new year with intense, vibrant reds,” said Cunningham, who works with Drew Barrymore. “This look fits with all skin tones.” If you’re considering a shift in shade, consider your skin’s undertones before deciding on a color. Warm complexions like Stone’s are flattered by spicy cinnamon or auburn shades, while hints of ash or blue complement cool-toned skin.
