It may be a dream to get an invite to the annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but wearing one of the red-carpet dresses can be a reality. After Topshop dressed Julianne Hough, Nicole Richie, Jaime King, and Ashley Madekwe in custom creations for this year’s Punk: Chaos to Couture event (as seen above), the retailer announced that all of the designs will be available in stores and on topshop.com this September for $630 to $1,050. In addition, ModaOperandi.com put 15 dresses that walked the red carpet up for pre-order exclusively on the site, including Olivia Wilde’s Calvin Klein creation, Taylor Swift’s J.Mendel gown, and Dakota and Elle Fanning’s Rodarte looks; and you can place your orders at modaoperandi.com. Now that’s something that rocks.

Tonight is the 2013 Met Gala—officially known as the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala and unofficially known as The Oscars Red Carpet of Fashion. With this year’s theme being Punk: Chaos to Couture, we’re guaranteed to see some over-the-top style choices… and they’re rolling down the red carpet right now. Nicole Richie (in Topshop Unique) debuted punk rock-inspired dyed hair, Taylor Swift (in J. Mendel) showed off her edgier side, and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West (both in Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci) had a shining moment on the carpet. And that’s not all. What you see above is just the start of tonight’s festivities—come back to InStyle.com first thing tomorrow morning to get your punk on and see the full red carpet rundown.
It’s off to the races for the Kentucky Derby this weekend, and we’re just as excited for the parade of festive hats as we are for the actual race. If past is precedent, the stars are aligned to show up in creative takes on the southern belle headpiece, a tradition that’s believed to bring good luck. Check out a few of our favorites from years past in the gallery.

Grammys weekend is always packed with some of the best, most musical parties of the year! One that the industry all-stars always look forward to is music legend Clive Davis’s annual pre-Grammy bash, which was held at the Beverly Hilton on Saturday night. InStyle.com scoped out inside, where Tyra Banks caught up with Jennifer Hudson (in Maria Lucia Hohan), lovebirds Katy Perry (in Rafael Cennamo) held the arm of date John Mayer all night, and Miley Cyrus (in Emilio Pucci) bonded with Nicole Richie, all to honor fellow executive and The X Factor judge L.A. Reid. “One hit record after another,” Davis said of Perry during his remarks on stage. Click through the gallery to see all the stars partying during Grammy weekend!

Nicole Richie has gone back to the bob! The star took to Instagram to debut her new style—a shorter take on the long bob she wore almost a year ago. Since then, Richie grew out the cut and experimented with darker strands, but opted to go back to her trademark gold highlights. “Dark hair accentuates my green eyes, but dyeing it was too damaging!” she told us in our August issue. We want to know: What do you think of her shorter cut? Tell us!
