Trend to Try: Wine Lips

Wine nails are a hot beauty trend this winter, but the color looks great lips, too!  Case in point: Charlize Theron, Evan Rachel Wood, Naomi Watts and Elizabeth Olsen opted for chic Pinot Noir puckers recently. Olsen did her own makeup for the Sundance premiere of Liberal Arts, but her makeup artist Gita Bass certainly approves of her deep lip shade! “The stain adds a pop of color that contrasts perfectly with the golden tones in her hair, as well as her tiger shirt,” Bass told InStyle.com exclusively. “If you try this look, keep the rest of your makeup minimal, except for subtle definition around the eyes. Apply lipstick directly from the tube, then use your finger to press the color in with your fingers.” The result? An effortlessly glam Bordeaux pout.

Celebrities Love… Erdem

Celebrities love Erdem Moralioglu! The London designer launched his collection in 2005, and his pieces have been red carpet regulars ever since, appearing on Kate Middleton, Rashida Jones, Kate Bosworth, Elizabeth Olsen and more. “I’ve had the privilege of dressing a diverse group of women who are all amazing,” the designer told InStyle.com at the British Fashion Council’s London Show Rooms in Los Angeles recently. “It’s such a huge compliment. I love the idea of providing women with something that they feel really comfortable in and that makes them feel like a beautiful version of themselves.” The designer is known for his eye-popping prints and bold florals, and encourages women of all ages—even those who are hesitant—to embrace a vibrant palette. “Don’t be afraid of color,” he says. “Start off with separates and move towards a dress. A dress is such an easy way to get ready in the morning—you can zip yourself into it.” See who else loves wearing Erdem’s designs in the gallery.
