Hollywood Has Gone Blonde! Ashley Greene, Gabrielle Union, Channing Tatum, and Julianne Moore Debut Lighter StrandsAug 14, 2013 @ 4:56 pm
Did we miss the blonde hair memo? On the heels of the sunny makeovers debuted by Gabrielle Union, Channing Tatum, and Julianne Moore, Ashley Greene has also joined the movement, revealing her golden highlights at the Los Angeles premiere of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. If the recent surge in blonde hairstyles has you wanting to lighten your strands, start swapping your current shampoos and conditioners for intense, hydrating formulas, as bleach can dry out your hair — especially if you’re starting with a dark base. “You can splurge on gorgeous salon highlights, but if your hair is dry, the color won’t look good,” said colorist Sharon Dorram, who has worked with Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker. To lock in hydration, she recommends coating your hair from mid-shaft to end with conditioner, and brushing through with a wide-tooth comb before rinsing. “It puts moisture back into the hair and gives it elasticity to keep it shiny and healthy.”

Do blondes really have more fun? We’re not sure, but Channing Tatum‘s new hair makeover is proof that girls like Julianne Moore and Gabrielle Union aren’t the only ones who want to find out. The new father was spotted on the set of his upcoming film Jupiter Ascending with blonde hair and a lighter goatee to match. Tatum will be playing the role of Caine, a genetically-engineered military hunter whose human DNA has been spliced with that of a wolf. He is hired as a hitman by the Queen of the Universe, targeting Mila Kunis‘s character Jupiter Jones. We want to know: What do you think of Channing’s new ‘do? Tell us!
Who doesn’t like starting the weekend with Channing Tatum? His latest film White House Down is in theaters today, and we’re expecting to see plenty of high-octane action — not to mention shots of his toned abs and biceps. Starring alongside Jamie Foxx, Joey King, and Maggie Gyllenhaal, Tatum plays a Capitol policeman and devoted father, an especially fitting role since he and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum became first-time parents to their daughter, Everly. Amidst the drama, the star finds himself caught in the White House during a terrorist attack, and ends up having to juggle protecting the president (Foxx), and rescuing his daughter (King) from a hostage situation. Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Channing Tatum are now the proud parents to baby girl, Everly! The first-time parents, who revealed their pregnancy in December, took to their websites in a post aptly-titled “And Baby Makes Three” to share the news. “Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Channing Tatum are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter, Everly Tatum, who was born on May 31st in London. Sending love and light to Chan, Jenna, and Ms. Everly!” The couple is currently residing in London while Channing finishes filming Jupiter Ascending. Congratulations to the entire family.

Everyone’s favorite action figures are going live-action again with G.I. Joe: Retaliation! In the film, stars Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, and Adrianne Palicki go head-to-head with the Cobra Commander and his team of enemy forces, so we caught up with Palicki to find out how she geared up for battle. “We were trained by Navy SEALs eight hours a day for a month straight, and they covered everything from stunts to unit training,” the star told InStyle.com at the launch for Axe’s Face line. “It was intense, but I was in the best shape of my life! I guess that’s what eight hours a day will do for you.” She had a similar rough-and-tumble approach to her beauty routine on set, too. “I don’t mind heat, but when you’re trying to look attractive, it’s really frustrating when all your makeup is melting onto your face,” she said. “Thankfully, [my character] Lady Jaye isn’t a girly-girl, so I didn’t have to worry about that, but I got to have one glam moment in the film where I’m undercover.” The best of both worlds! Check out Palicki in her ultra-tough role in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, out in theaters nationwide today. Visit gijoemovie.com to find out where it’s playing near you.
