Surprise! Matthew Morrison Was Thrilled About His Faux Bow Tie

Matthew Morrison didn’t waste any time knotting a bow tie for his dapper look at last night’s SAG Awards—he faked it! “This is the essence of a bow tie, but it’s really a shirt!” the Glee star told us excitedly of his top, part of his head-to-toe Dior look. “This is the coolest thing.” And he chose the look all on his own: “I don’t have a stylist,” he confessed. “I picked this up all by myself.” Way to go, Mr. Shue!

Halloween 2012: First Look at Shenae Grimes’s Chris March-Designed Costume

Still not sure what to be for Halloween? Luckily for 90210 star Shenae Grimes, the decision for this year’s costume was left in someone else’s hands—Project Runway alum Chris March, who pulled inspiration for her look from Mattel’s Frankie Stein, a character from their Monster High series (and the teenage daughter of Frankenstein). “He works with Lady Gaga and Madonna, who are costume queens, so it’s really an honor,” she told InStyle.com right after her final fitting with March. And so far, she’s embracing the look. “I’m a little bit of a tomboy, so I really like the color scheme of the doll,” she said. “I love the stitches on her face.” March is putting the final touches on her look right now, and Grimes will make her Frankiestein debut at Matthew Morrison’s Halloween bash in Los Angeles next weekend. “When I get dressed up on Halloween I like to look like a monster,” she added. “You’ve got to be a glamorous ghoul, so to speak.” Glamorous ghouls? Now that’s a term we like!

Glee Season 4 Starts Tonight!

It’s a big week for non-small screen stars on TV. Last night saw Britney Spears‘s debut as a judge on The X Factor (we’re obsessed!), and tonight is the Glee Season 4 premiere at 9 pm EST on FOX. Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Cory Monteith, and the rest of the New Directions troupe are back. And that’s not all that’s new. Rachel is starting college in New York (the episode is aptly titled “The New Rachel”) and the show has moved to its new Thursday night time slot. Let’s just say, in this case, change is good. Really good. Kristen Bell On Her High School Self & Her Glee Love Connection

Playing a former nerd who faces off against her childhood bully in the movie You Again sparked a high school flashback for Kristen Bell. “I was dorky for sure!” the diminutive actress told us of her school days when we saw her at the flick’s L.A. premiere last night. “I was nervous that someone would make me their punching bag.” Bell may be glad her teenage years are behind her, but if her loyal fans have their way she may soon be walking the halls of Glee‘s McKinley High. A Facebook campaign called Kristen Bell Should Guest Star on Glee showcases examples of the actress’ vocal talents in a bid to see her score a role on the Emmy winning series. Turns out, Bell already has an interesting connection to Glee‘s Matthew Morrison. “I actually went to college with Matty and we dated very briefly,” she said. “He’s still one of my closest friends.” Though she’s engaged to Dax Shepard, we could definitely see some onscreen sparks flying if Bell was cast as a love interest for Mr. Schu.
