Jennifer Hudson and Brittany Snow Premiere Call Me Crazy, Plus More Parties!

Apr 17, 2013 @ 2:21 pm

Jennifer Hudson (in Ungaro) and Brittany Snow (in Naeem Khan) attended the world premiere of Lifetime’s special five-part film series Call Me Crazy: A Five Film last night in Los Angeles. The series of five shorts, each directed by and starring different personalities, focus on different scenarios of what happens to the loved ones of people coping with mental illness. ”I wanted to be a part of it because I felt like making awareness about mental illness is important,” Hudson told reporters. “But also working with Jennifer Aniston [who also stars]. We were in talks about working together on a couple of projects and this is the start of that for us. I love her. It’s like, ‘Cool. I like this.’ It must be a Jennifer thing.” The films premiere on Lifetime this Saturday, April 20, at 8/7c. Click the photo to see more celebrities partying this week!

After keeping both fans and cast members guessing, Universal Studios confirmed that a Pitch Perfect sequel is coming your way in 2015. “I just found out!” Brittany Snow told reporters yesterday at the premiere of the Lifetime Original Movie Call Me Crazy: A Five Film in Los Angeles. “I talked the producers and they were like, ‘We’ve wanted to tell you for a long time, but we couldn’t.’ I was like, ‘Well, I hate finding out through Twitter!’ But it’s cool!” And for the second go-around Snow is campaigning for an encore duet with co-star Anna Kendrick, as the two sang David Guetta’s “Titanium” in the original. “Hopefully, we can do another scene where we sing together.” That idea—on top of catchy harmonies and Rebel Wilson’s spot-on comedic timing—would be amazing.

Brittany Snow’s Smart Hair Trick: Add a Hair Extension for an Angled Bob

Apr 16, 2013 @ 3:30 pm

When Brittany Snow arrived at the MTV Movie Awards this weekend, there was something a little different about her blonde bob, which appeared angled on one side and shorter on the other. “It’s a little fake,” Snow told InStyle.com of her style. “It’s not cut. My hair length is actually a little shorter. It’s an extension piece and then we cut it.” So smart! Why the change-up? “My [Lela Rose] dress is so classy and elegant, so I wanted to do something a little edgy with my hair,” Snow told InStyle.com. “So we decided to angle it. I thought it would be cool!” Simple enough, and it worked. If you try the look, shop for an extension that matches your hue and add texturizer to your roots before clipping it in to avoid it slipping out of place.

Brittany Snow’s Short Hair: Inspired by Claire Danes and Reese Witherspoon’s ’90s Looks

Nov 30, 2012 @ 1:19 pm

When Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow chopped her hair into a chic bob just a couple months ago, it wasn’t a result of the 2012 trend of stars shearing their locksshe made the decision based on a moment of inspiration much earlier in her life. “I have this obsession with 1998 Claire Danes and Reese Witherspoon,” Snow told InStyle.com at the HFPA and InStyle Miss Golden Globe party in Los Angeles last night. “It was when they had their hair really short. I wanted to wear something that was sleek and different for me. I like this!” And what does she love most about her new ‘do? “I feel way better with it short for some reason,” Snow said. “I feel more myself—I’m one of those people who doesn’t like to mess around. It’s way easier and more carefree. This took me ten minutes! I’m always a fan of that.” Quick, simple, and chic—what’s not to love?

The last time this many J. Mendel dresses were in one place, it was the Emmys! Only the designer of the label himself—Gilles Mendel, shown with partner Kylie Case—could dress so many stars for one night again, this time for the Third Annual Autumn Party hosted by the Philanthropic Society Los Angeles, held at the London Hotel Rooftop in Los Angeles. “Any actress, and any beautiful woman, is part of my dream to dress,” Mendel told InStyle.com of his Hollywood following, which included party guests Brittany Snow, Sophia Bush, Jamie Lynn-Sigler, New Girl’s Hannah Simone, and Garcelle Beauvais. “I love when you get into one of his dresses, you really feel like you’re a woman,” Snow told InStyle.com before posing for photos in a silver strapless cocktail look by the designer with gal pal Sophia Bush. “The way the clothes are made make you feel really classy and put together.” The two stuck side-by-side all night, sipping Champagne along with the rest of the 400 attendees in candlelit cabanas overlooking the Los Angeles skyline—a beautiful setting to watch a fashion show of J. Mendel’s new resort collection, which also took place at the soiree. The evening benefited the Children’s Institute, Inc., a non-profit dedicated to child abuse and neglect treatment and prevention. Click through the gallery to see more stars at the J. Mendel party, and more photos from this week’s hottest events.

Twilight Saga actress Anna Kendrick—and, lest we forget, Academy Award nomineeis putting her Broadway chops to good use as the reluctant new lead of an a capella group in tonight’s release, Pitch Perfect. (It’s like Glee goes to college for the big screen.) Her first order of business? Covering Bruno Mars’s “Just the Way You Are.” What’s especially fun about this rendition is that Kendrick’s R&B-loving character, Beca, mashes the Mars tune up with Nelly’s “Just a Dream.” We’re obsessed—who would have thought the two would go together so beautifully? Listen to the remix above, and catch Pitch Perfect in select theaters starting today, and nationally next Friday, October 5th.
