Andie MacDowell’s Daughter Loves to Wear Her Mom’s Clothes

Now, this is the joy of having a celebrity parent! When Andie MacDowell’s 18-year-old daughter Margaret Qualley needs something to wear, she goes shopping in her mom’s wardrobe. “We were just raiding her closet,” the model-actress told InStyle.com at a dinner hosted by Dior Beauty at the Chateau Marmont this week, where she wore an ivory lace Dolce & Gabbana dress—the same one her mother wore to a lunch at the Montblanc New Voices Awards in 2011. When MacDowell wore it, she kept it simple with a cuff and small stud earrings. Her daughter followed in her footsteps, but added a few extras: “I’m also wearing my mom’s old vintage Prada shoes. I complete my mom’s wardrobe,” said Margaret.

Rainey Qualley Is Miss Golden Globe 2012!

Last night when the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle hosted “A Night of Firsts,” presented by Fuze at West Hollywood hot spot Cecconi’s they announced that Rainey Qualley was named Miss Golden Globe 2012! Qualley, the daughter of Golden Globe Nominated Actress Andie MacDowell told Instyle, “It’s wonderful to be representing the Hollywood Foreign Press. They’ve had such great girls serve as Miss Golden Globe in the past years. It’s really an honor.” So, what’s she going to wear? “In general, my style is sort of bohemian and easy going. I like girly stuff too. I like young, fun clothes.” She added, “I’m just looking forward to the experience of getting to try on beautiful gowns and feeling like a princess.” See Qualley, Gabrielle Union, Fergie, Busy Phillips and more celebs who attended the party in the gallery!

Meet Miss Golden Globe 2012: Rainey Qualley

Congratulations, Rainey Qualley! The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has just named the 21 year-old daughter of Andie MacDowell and former model Paul Qualley Miss Golden Globe 2012. And that’s quite an honor—it means the budding star will help hand out the trophies during the 69th annual Golden Globes ceremony. “She’s not aware of her beauty, she’s very humble, she’s extraordinarily intelligent and she’s a wonderful singer,” MacDowell recently told Ladies Home Journal about her eldest daughter. In addition to music, it looks like Rainey is also going the acting route—she’ll make her movie debut when the big screen drama Mighty Fine hits theaters early next year. And if she has trouble deciding what to wear on Globes night, Rainey can always look to her mom for fashion advice. “When I would get dressed for school in the morning, she would give me three options of dresses,” Qualley remembered to LHJ. “She would pick up a dress and make it talk to me like, ‘Look at me! I’m so pretty! Wear me!’” Watch out for Qualley (and a beaming MacDowell) when the Golden Globes airs live on January 15, 2012 on NBC!
