Hayden Panettiere Designs Jewelry Now!

Oct 25, 2011 @ 3:30 pm

Hayden Panettiere is a jewelry designer now! “These are chains that my best friend and I make,” she told InStyle.com at Variety’s annual Power of Youth event in Los Angeles this weekend, pointing the strands accessorizing her white top. “It’s a company called Chain Gang. We haven’t really said much about it, but we hand-make them ourselves.” The actress, who was at the event to receive an honor for her work on behalf of The Whaleman Foundation, uses clay beads, stones, and turtle and gorilla skull charms to craft the necklaces, which she calls part-feminine, part-punky. However, her creations are not available for the masses just yet. “We’d really like to start in maybe little boutiques and have it be an underground thing.”

Gwen Stefani’s Harajuki Mini for Target: See the Complete Collection!

Oct 17, 2011 @ 4:30 pm

Gwen Stefani’s capsule collection Harajuku Mini for Target is almost here! The retailer just released photos of the rock star fashion designer’s first children’s line, which includes accessories and apparel for babies, toddlers, and tweens, priced from $4 to $30. “The kids clothes are a reflection of things I wear,” Stefani told InStyle (she’s our November cover girl). And references to her own wardrobe are clear—plaid pants reminiscent of her look in No Doubt’s “Spiderwebs” video, and a faux-leather jacket and dress combo that looks like a smaller version of a recent L.A.M.B. runway look. Preview the entire collection in the gallery, and shop it at Target stores and Target.com November 13th.

Exclusive First Look: Ivanka Trump to Launch Clothing Line Soon!

Ivanka Trump’s empire is expanding! After successfully launching a high-end jewelry line, shoes, handbags, and outerwear, the rising business mogul (and new mom to daughter Arabella Rose) is entering the apparel business. Her first collection hits stores this February. “I wanted to build a strong and sustainable collection that is not overly trend-conscious,” Trump told InStyle.com exclusively this week. “I wanted timeless glamour.” The result includes casual day and work-friendly looks like scarf-print blouses, ponte knit capri pants, soft cardigans and patterned skirts, plus a few night-on-the-town options like lace cocktail dresses—all for under $200. “I wanted the price points to be accessible, but ultimately we’re in the business of luxury, and these looks are consistent with that larger messaging.” Many of the styles incorporate subtle Trump touches, like a tassel print or tassel belt (inspired by her jewelry line) or a gold button with the letter T on it. The new line, ranging from $84 for a top to $199 for a jacket, will land at Lord & Taylor, Macy’s, Dillard’s, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom locations February 1st. Tell us: Are you excited to shop the new looks? Let us know in the comments!
