“This is unreal!” Taylor Swift said when she accepted her Favorite Female Country Star award at tonight’s 40th Annual American Music Awards, a show that featured 17 performances, broadcasted in 198 countries, with one mega-tribute to the legendary Dick Clark. “I’m really, really happy right now.” And that was just one of the happy moments of the evening, which kicked off with a red carpet that would make any fashion-lover smile with its mix of intricate embroidery and high-shine sparkles. Taylor Swift ditched her Red theme in favor of golden Zuhair Murad, Heidi Klum showed off her supermodel legs in a gilded Alexandre Vauthier mini, Carrie Underwood rocked her country charm in an electric purple Abed Mahfouz gown, and breakout star Carly Rae Jepsen played to her girl next door appeal in a sequin Gomez-Gracia halter. Carly Rae Jepsen’s New Black-Brown Hair Color

Nov 8, 2012 @ 12:50 pm

Carly Rae Jepsen has gone dark for fall! The singer arrived at Japan’s Narita Airport on Tuesday sporting a much deeper sable hair color. Jepsen, who was last month’s top try-on in our Hollywood Makeover Tool, has worn a tawny chestnut color since she first took the world by storm with her single “Call Me Maybe.” Her almost-black strands are a welcome change for the cooler weather, and she joins Drew Barrymore and fellow pop star Demi Lovato, who both shifted to darker brunette shades recently. Do you like Carly Rae Jepsen’s new hair hue? Tell us in the comments below!

So You Think You Can Dance Winners: Our Favorite Dance

Sep 19, 2012 @ 10:47 am

The So You Think You Can Dance? Season 9 finale aired last night and the winners are… Chehon Wespi-Tschopp and Eliana Girard! Their classical ballet training—he at the Royal Ballet School and she at Alvin Ailey and Cirque du Soleil—shot them ahead of all the pop-and-lockers and hip-hoppers throughout the competition to the number one spots, chosen by you, America. “I think it’s a triumph for the show, and I think it’s a triumph of a celebration of ballet,” choreographer Mary Murphy said of the twinkle-toed pair after their final dance (watch it above!). And if you’re looking for a few more beats per minute, Carly Rae Jepsen premiered her new song “This Kiss” during the show. (It’s catchy! Of course it is, IT’S CARLY.) Congrats to Chehon and Eliana!
