Celebrity-favorite designer Brian Atwood teamed up with gilt.com on a collection of clutches! “I’ve seen all of these flash sales, how they manage them and create this excitement, and I said it would be great to do it with full-price designs,” the designer told InStyle.com. “Kind of like a sample sale!” The lineup features four styles: a basic envelope clutch (The Carla), a round hard-case minaudiere (The Theodora), a boxy minaudiere (The Iside) and leopard-print design (The Kate). And Atwood insists there’s no need to pack light. “These bags actually look more beautiful when they’re stuffed full,” he told us. Kristen Stewart put her handprints on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this morning in Los Angeles. To accept the honor, alongside Twilight co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, the actress wore a Swarovski-embellished dress by Marios Schwab and a pair of Brian Atwood “Marcella” pumps ($775 at nordstrom.com). However, the 4¾-inch heels didn’t last very long—she switched into Vans checkerboard slip-on sneakers ($45 at vans.com) before placing her handprints in the ground for eternity. First Look: Brian Atwood’s Lower-Price Line

Shoe designer Brian Atwood—whose designs are a red-carpet must-have for celebrities like Megan Fox (shown), Leighton Meester and Anne Hathaway—is getting ready to launch his first lower-price line this fall. Today, Atwood unveiled a first look of the line, named B Brian Atwood, which will include blue-green fringe booties, purple pumps and red t-strap heels. “I would definitely say there’s three kinds of aesthetics melted together: Upper East Side poshness, mixed with downtown cool, along with a Parisian sophistication,” the designer told WWD of his collection, which will range between $200 and $600 (lower than his original line, which is $540 to $1,430). B Brian Atwood shoes hits Saks and Barneys in August.

2011 Critics’ Choice Awards: Must-See Red Carpet Looks

The red carpet fashion at the 2011 Critics’ Choice Awards on Friday night featured a pop of winter whites. Best Actress winner Natalie Portman wore a single-strap white Gianfranco Ferré gown with a black band at the top, and paired it with Fred Leighton jewelry, Stella McCartney shoes and a Christian Dior clutch. Michelle Williams also chose white, her variation being a Balenciaga dress with embroidered floral details. She finished the look with Salvatore Ferragamo shoes and Neil Lane jewelry.
