Destiny’s Child to Release First Album in Eight Years

It’s a big day for music! First, Justin Timberlake announced that he’ll be releasing new tunes in three days, and now Beyoncé has revealed that Destiny’s Child is also set to debut a new album. “I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny’s Child music in eight years!” Bey wrote on her website. And fans of the girl group won’t have to wait long to purchase a copy—the album, featuring a brand new song produced by Pharrell, comes out January 29th! Justin Timberlake Will Release New Music In Three Days

After teasing the world this morning, Justin Timberlake has announced that in three days time, he will release his first music in six years. In the above video, Tweeted today around noon EST, Timberlake says, “Someone asked me the other day if I’m just done with music. It means more to me than anyone else in the world. I’ve only done two albums in ten years; that’s the way I look at it. What does the next decade mean for me?” A countdown is currently live on countdown.justintimberlake.com, with a new letter of the music’s title revealed at unknown intervals, so far a “J,” an ”S,” and an “E.” And the new tunes—JT left it unclear whether it’s a song, album, or something in between—will hit the Internet at midnight, Monday January 14, which is basically immediately following the Golden Globes. The clip shows Timberlake enter the recording studio, put on his headphones, and say, “I’m ready.” So are we, Justin! Watch the video above!

New Music Coming from Justin Timberlake: Watch His Twitter Today At Noon EST

Can it be true? Billboard.com is reporting that Justin Timberlake will finally release a new album soon, his first since 2006′s FutureSex/LoveSounds. According to the report, Timberlake has already recorded 20 new songs with longtime collaborator Timbaland. And very early this morning on Twitter, Timberlake teased only a date and time, fueling the fire that something big is happening—very soon. “Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at 9:01 am PST…,” no doubt an homage to the 901 area code of his hometown, Memphis, Tennesse. That’s only an hour away! Keep your eyes glued to JT’s Twitter page, and here’s hoping for some new tunes before this day is done!

The countdown is on! The 70th Annual Golden Globes are this Sunday, January 13, and the list of stars slated to grace the stage as award presenters is starting to roll out. So far, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced a lineup that includes Scandal star Kerry Washington, InStyle cover girl Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Lopez, Jeremy R enner, The Expendables star Jason Statham, Castle actor Nathan Fillion, and Saturday Night Live alums Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell. Combined with the dry hysterics of hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, it should be one big party and a lot of fun to watch. 7.9 Million People Watched the Downton Abbey Season 3 Premiere

The season 3 premiere of PBS’s Masterpiece Theater smash hit Downton Abbey was very popular, indeed. Sunday night’s episode drew 7.9 million viewers across the U.S., a significant increase from the 5.4 million who tuned in for the season 2 finale last year. With the addition of iconic stateside screen star Shirley MacLaine and the exciting plotlines (the Crawleys struggling to save the Downton estate and transitioning into the women’s lib movement), there’s even more to look forward to every Sunday at 9/8c on PBS. As butler Mr. Carson said last in the season 3 premiere, “If you are tired of style, you are tired of life.” Well spoken!

Milly for Banana Republic: Coming May 2013

Banana Republic has gone mod with Mad Men and 19th-century with Anna Karenina for its collaborations—and now it’s getting some modern preppy inspiration from Milly! The retailer announced today that they teamed up with Milly designer Michelle Smith for a capsule collection set to hit stores this summer. Inspired by the easy-breezy lifestyle of the Hamptons, the lineup contains 46 pieces for women and 16 items for men (this also counts as Smith’s first-ever foray into menswear design). The items feature six of Milly’s classic prints, as well as one never-before-seen pattern created just for the collection. The women’s offerings include woven colorblock maxi dresses, embroidered mini-skirts, and patterned shorts—ranging in price from $45 to $175—in summer colors like lime, coral, and navy, as well as accessories like jewelry, handbags, and lightweight scarves, which range from $39.50 to $130. Menswear runs from $25 to $65. The line will be available in May 2013, both online and in stores.
