Marilyn Monroe is the greatest blond of all time, according to a poll conducted by Clairol Nice ‘n Easy. The stunning Grace Kelly and French actress, Brigitte Bardot, took the second and third spots, beating out younger stars like Cameron Diaz and Scarlett Johansson.  “Marilyn Monroe has always been known for her iconic blond hair, but it’s amazing to think that even now, almost half a century after her death, she has still beaten modern blonds to the top spot,” a spokeswoman for Clairol said. “Her hair is synonymous with 1950s glamour, but it has stood the test of time against hair styles and colors which have come and gone over the years.” Check out the top twenty greatest blonds of all time, then tell us your favorite in the comments section below!

Natasha Bedingfield On Highlights, Roots and Chocolate Ice Cream!

Mar 23, 2010 @ 2:45 pm

You don’t have to be a California girl to have gorgeous blond strands. Just ask British songstress Natasha Bedingfield. “I’m a natural blonde, but I do get highlights. I’m very blond in the summer and golden in the winter,” she told InStyle at a concert kicking off John Frieda’s Blonde Entourage campaign in New York City. While touring for her last album, Pocketful of Sunshine, the Grammy-nominated singer didn’t have time for regular touch-ups, but she wasn’t too concerned. “I like to have my roots peeking out for an edgier vibe,” she said. Beauty appointments aside, there’s one thing Bedingfield always makes time for: “Chocolate! I never deprive myself, although right now I’m trying to be good to get in shape for my next tour,” she confessed.  Her fix? “I’ll have chocolate protein shakes. They’re not quite as good as a big bowl of chocolate ice cream, but they do the trick.”

Feb 16, 2010 @ 11:00 am

It’s been a big year for British actress Carey Mulligan, having received both Golden Globe and Oscar nominations for her role in An Education. “Yeah, this has been mad,” she told us at yesterday’s Oscar nominee luncheon in Beverly Hills. The former redhead also debuted an eye-popping new hair color. “It’s been really surreal standing in front of those big Oscars behind me. They’re kind of the color of my hair, aren’t they? Which is something I’m working on. [My hair] is a work in progress.”
