What a week! New York Fashion Week came to a close yesterday, but the glamorous beauty looks showcased on the runways have us inspired for months to come. Manicures at Libertine and Betsey Johnson got decked out in major sparkle — lead manicurist Katie Jane Hughes decorated the digits of the Libertine models with holographic foils, crystals, and even pom-poms, while Betsey Johnson’s girls took the runway in a pink-tipped pewter manicure. We were also obsessed with the makeup at Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui, both of which were gorgeous, simple, and radiant. After interviewing makeup artists and hairstylists backstage at the hottest Fashion Week shows, we rounded up all of the best hair, makeup, and nail moments that already have us eager for spring. Who’s going to be the next pageant princess? We’ll find out tonight when Miss USA Nana Meriwether of Maryland passes down her crown to one of the 51 women competing for the Miss USA 2013 title. The pageant will take place live from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, hosted by E!’s Giuliana Rancic and Nick Jonas, who is extra pumped for his gig. “I am single at the moment, so I’m obviously very excited for this show,” he told Rancic in a media conference call. Judges include fashion designer Betsey Johnson, Christina Milian, Wendie Malick, and reality star NeNe Leakes. Each contestant will be judged in the swimsuit, evening gown, and interview categories. Tune in at 9 p.m. EST on NBC to watch, and tell us which state you are rooting for in the comments below.

Move over, Cinderella—Minnie Mouse is taking over the fashion industry! Since the First Lady of Disney released a collection of OPI nail polish, designers across the globe have been clamoring to work with her. The result: a holiday collection with Barneys (complete with ears designed by Rag & Bone and L’Wren Scott) and spots on both the New York and London Fashion Week runways. (Not to mention Disney’s just-announced pop-up shops coming to JCPenney.) Click through our gallery to see all of Minnie’s style moments this year.

We spotted cats and dogs at Lela Rose and Rachel Antonoff earlier this Fashion Week, and since then, even more furry friends have come out to celebrate fashion! Susan Sarandon brought her pups to Chris Benz‘s presentation at the tents, and a model coddled a small piglet down the Betsey Johnson runway last night at the designer’s 70th birthday party and fashion show. It was a (belated) birthday party last night for Betsey Johnson! After a tumultuous year, the cartwheeling designer, who has been in the business for nearly 50 years and is best known for her super feminine dresses and outrageous look, celebrated her 70th in style last night with a retrospective fashion show and the launch of her comeback dress line, complete with a performance by Cyndi Lauper! “I was so lucky to have my stores for as long as I did,” Johnson told us backstage. “This new line is just so me. It’s a little bit older, more mature, but it’s still Betsey.” For Johnson, that meant maturity with flare on nighties featuring Minnie Mouse and countless cupcake dresses, perfect for a glam Sweet 16 or a fun red carpet. Betsey Johnson may have shuttered her stores this year, but her hot pink dresses and printed floral skirts aren’t going anywhere just yet! The designer just announced that she will launch a collection only of dresses—her most sought-after items—that will sell in department stores and boutiques come spring 2013. Fans of Betsey will get a peek at her new duds next month during her Fashion Week show, which is gearing up to be a retrospective of her work from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s. Fans can even contribute to her runway lineup by submitting photos of her vintage pieces to her BJ Treasure Hunt on Facebook. One lucky winner will win a ticket to her runway show (and see her infamous finale acrobatics in person). Things are looking up for Betsey—and her fans!

Betsey Johnson is turning her high-octane designs into a line of nail polishes for Sephora! Of course, the shades include her signature hot pink (inset), which gives off the scent of Johnson’s new Too Too fragrance once dry. “It’s outrageous, pretty, pink, and totally rock and roll!“ the designer said of her new nail line in a release. Johnson’s collection includes seven nail polishes ($9.50 each), three nail polish strip designs ($12 each), stick-on nail charms ($5), and a six-piece mini lacquer set ($24). While the products don’t launch at Sephora until next month, you can get a sneak peek by clicking through our gallery now!
