Love Gwen Stefani’s beauty looks? Now you can get a mani just like her! Nail brand OPI has just announced a partnership with the singer and fashion designer, which will include seven limited edition nail lacquers featuring standout colors in breakthrough finishes. Collection highlights include a bold red lacquer featuring Swarovski crystals that pays homage to Stefani’s signature lipstick (Over & Over A-Gwen), a new semi-matte satin finish in shades of gold and black (Love.Angel.Music.Baby. and 4 in the Morning), and a mirrored chrome paired with a special base coat (Push and Shove). The style icon always uses beauty to accessorize her style, which makes her a great match for the polish brand — we couldn’t be more excited for this collaboration. OPI wanted to create a collection as dramatic and glamorous as Stefani, and we think they captured her spirit in lacquer perfectly! Look for the Gwen Stefani x OPI in January. The Carrie remake starring Chloe Moretz hits theaters nationwide on October 18, but between the premieres and impromptu coffee shop pranks by the crew, the film is already making quite the buzz. At the screening in Hollywood last night, Moretz coordinated the deep tones of her Valentino gown with her studded nail art, and we loved the look so much, we tracked down the exact products she used! “Chloe wanted an Earth-toned polish and this color jumped out at us right away,” said her manicurist Christina Aviles, who used Sephora’s Formula X lacquer in Perfection. “It’s a darker taupe that looks great on any skin tone, and was just a beautiful complement to the colors in her gown. We added the studs to enhance her chic and sophisticated look.” After layering on the base coat, color, and two swipes of clear top coat, Aviles applied the black studs to each nail by pressing the 3D element into the slightly wet lacquer in lieu of nail glue. A drop-dead red-carpet gown by Marchesa‘s coveted lineup might be out of reach, but designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig aren’t leaving anyone empty-handed. The two are now dressing up nails! Partnering with Revlon, they introduced a collection of eight nail appliqué sets inspired by their exquisite creations. “We even translated [signature] beading with relief detailing on the surface,” says Craig. We love how the duo’s amazing designs are mirrored perfectly on each set of decals, and the project had a hidden perk: “I’ve pledged to stop biting my nails,” she says, laughing. Find the Revlon by Marchesa 3-D Jewel Appliqués priced at $10 for a set of 18 at drugstores nationwide in October and see the gallery for the complete collection!
Demi Lovato‘s penchant for edgy hairstyles continues with the blue shade she unveiled last night on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. When it comes to hair color, Demi is never one to shy away from a statment-making look — she has been every color of the spectrum from deep brunette to platinum blonde, and even added pink highlights last year. Her current blue hue might be the most daring style she’s worn yet, and if anyone can pull off such a risky trend, it’s definitely Demi. And soon enough, you’ll be able to have Lovato’s signature aesthetic right at your fingertips — literally! The star has just teamed up with nail brand The New Black to create her own line of high-octane lacquers, and 3D embellishments, which will launch at Ulta stores and ulta.com in November. If Lovato’s previous manicure choices offer any sort of hint, we’re expecting to have our nail art game changed for the bolder.

The secret to the perfect pageant wave may lie in the wrist, but a shiny manicure certainly doesn’t hurt! For the second year, OPI has partnered with the Miss Universe organization to create a trio of lacquers, each worthy of a tiara. “The women competing for the Miss Universe title are beautiful, intelligent, and inspiring,” said the brand’s co-founder and artistic director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “They are passionate ambassadors for many worthy causes, and through the Miss Universe organization, they help to empower other young ladies around the world.” That being said, we think it’s only fitting that the lineup should include two regal purple hues, and a crown-inspired pewter. Get your hands (and nails!) on the polishes when they hit stores in October, priced at $9 per bottle.
