Matching your digits to your dress is a no-fail beauty move, but now, you can coordinate your nails and your fragrance with Essie and Ralph Lauren‘s first-ever collaboration. The famed nail brand created four custom lacquers inspired by the label’s Big Pony scents, and we love how each hue is an exact match to the blue, pink, yellow, and violet flacons. The shades are available in Ralph Lauren’s limited-edition gift sets ($45 each; Macy’s and Bloomingdales stores nationwide), which also include a 50 ML Big Pony eau de toilette, and body spray. Plus, at select Macy’s outposts, you can get an in-store manicure using the vivid hues—visit macys.com to find a location near you.

See the pretty mani-pedi combos we’re loving for spring in the gallery below.

Mariah Carey Just Launched Her 12th Perfume; See Them All Here and Find Out Why Each One Is Fabulous

Mar 7, 2013 @ 4:51 pm

Mariah Carey is at it again! In between her roles as American Idol judge and mommy to twins Moroccan and Monroe, the superstar found time to create her twelfth scent, Mariah Carey Dreams. The latest addition is a gourmand blend of salted caramel apple, toasted almonds, and honeysuckle, topped with a trio of Mimi’s favorite animals, butterflies. “The process of developing a fragrance is exhilarating and it takes me to another place within my creative self, which is why I enjoyed creating Mariah Carey Dreams,” the singer said of the fragrance, which is sold for $49 at kohls.com. “I humbly call myself a ‘perfumer in training’ because I love it so much—almost as much as I love making music!” And her passion shows with an impressive library of butterfly-themed perfumes under her belt. Click “See the Photos” see all 12 dynamic scents and find out what makes each fragrance different.

Dita Von Teese Is Making HSN a Sexier Place! Burlesque Star to Launch Lingerie and Perfume

Do a sexy dance—Dita Von Teese is partnering with HSN to launch her lingerie and perfume in the United States for the first time! The Queen of Burlesque was in New York last night to kick off the American leg of her Strip Strip Hooray! tour, and we caught up with the star to learn all about her home-shoppable collection, from the vintage-inspired lingerie sets ($25 to $45) to the fragrances ($75 a bottle). “I thought HSN would be the perfect way to introduce my brand to the American woman, because my goal with these products is to bring glamour and refinement to women at an affordable price,” Von Teese told InStyle.com. And she did just that by hand-picking eyelash laces and mixing scent notes in Paris herself, all while making sure the prices remained reasonable. Von Teese also wears all of the pieces she designed alongside those from her own very famous collection of lingerie: ”I spend exorbitant amounts of money of lingerie when I go shopping in Paris, and I think these pieces can really stand their own against the most expensive lingerie in the world,” she said. “I’m really proud of that fact.” And she has every right to be! Dita Von Teese’s American debut will be available on HSN and hsn.com starting April 23.

New In Stores: Hermès’ Jour D’Hermès Fragrance!

Feb 22, 2013 @ 5:04 pm

Hermès just launched a must-have for spring! After years of work by creator Jean-Claude Ellena, the label’s Jour D’Hermès fragrance is now in stores. “I started to work on Jour D’Hermès nearly three years ago,” Ellena told InStyle.com at the perfume’s launch event. “The first draft used wood and patchouli notes, and smells nothing like it does today. It’s very classic, but in other ways it’s modern since it doesn’t smell old-fashioned.” Housed in a light-catching flacon designed by Pierre Hardy, the scent uses light florals with a slight citrus twist, but the specific bouquet is up to your own interpretation. “It isn’t about one flower in particular. People can choose, and I think it’s more feminine that way,” Ellena added. Pick up a bottle, priced from $108 to $149, at hermes.com now!

Coach’s Valentine’s Day Fragrance: Now in Stores

Feb 8, 2013 @ 2:01 pm

Here’s an item to add to your Valentine’s Day wish list! Just in time for February 14, Coach is releasing their Coach Love fragrance, an airy blend of mandarin, freesia, jasmine, and sandalwood. “It’s the most romantic fragrance Coach has created,” said Karyn Khoury, Estee Lauder’s senior vice president of corporate fragrance development. “The scent is very streamlined in its construction, but it’s actually quite complex in the number of ingredients used.” Coach Love is housed in a sweet rose gold flacon, and we especially love how the brand’s iconic Cs are formed into a heart to give the logo the Valentine’s Day treatment. Shop the scent, priced at $52 to $92, at coach.com now.

Italian fashion house Marni celebrated the launch its first fragrance in New York, and some of the luxe label’s fans—including Alexa Chung and Christina Ricci—came to the brand’s Meatpacking District store to toast to its release. “It was important for us was to create a fragrance we could wear,” Carolina Castiglioni, daughter of Marni creative director Consuelo Castiglioni, told InStyle.com of the perfume, which mixes woodsy musk undertones with notes of fragrant rose to create a feminine-meets-masculine scent. “We started from what we liked. We had to select from hundred of raw materials for the note and follow our instinct.” And now you can shop it! Pick up the Marni scent, as well as body lotion, body cream, travel versions, for $50 to $155 at saksfifthavenue.com.
