Get Katy Perry’s Lashes in Five Seconds Flat!

Dec 1, 2012 @ 3:00 pm

Katy Perry knows a thing or two about great faux lashes, and although they can be tricky to apply, the glamorous impact they make is worth it. Now it’s even easier to get the look! Enter Eylure’s pre-glued falsies ($6; ulta.com), which take all the guesswork out of the process, allowing you to go from work to working it in one quick, easy step! Simply peel the strip from its packaging, and apply directly to your lash line. Use a pair of nail scissors to taper the edges if the strip is too long, as ill-fitting lashes can be uncomfortable. Perry teamed up with the brand to launch her own line of faux lashes, and while the traditional gluing process applies to her sets, the pre-glued option is a great way to get some practice.

Jennifer Aniston Doesn’t Wear Mascara

Dec 31, 2011 @ 10:00 am

Jennifer Aniston revealed some of her biggest beauty secrets in January’s InStyle issue. One disclosure we loved—she ditched mascara! ”I hate wearing mascara, so I tint my lashes every three weeks,” Aniston told us. “I have long lashes, so I just put on a conditioning gel from Talika and curl them up with a little heated curler from Japan.” For more refreshingly honest beauty talk from Aniston about skin, makeup, and more, flip to page 96 of our latest issue, on newsstands now.

Carrie Underwood’s Wedding Lashes

Feb 25, 2010 @ 2:05 am

Back in December, we told you about Carrie Underwood’s engagement to NHL player Mike Fischer—and we’ve got more pre-wedding buzz for you today. The Grammy winner is having a custom pair of faux lashes designed by celebrity lash expert, Stephen Moleski! “I sent lashes to her makeup artist, Melissa Schleicher. Carrie wore my lashes to the Grammys and fell in love with them,” Moleski says. “Melissa and I decided to create a custom pair based on Carrie’s favorite elements of existing styles.” The special set will be a mix of Moleski’s New York, Nashville, and Miami lashes ($13.50/each, smokeandmirrorsbeauty.com). “It’s a tapered feathered lash—shorter on the inside corner, thick and fluffy everywhere else,” he says. The good news for you? As soon as Underwood and Fischer tie the knot, the lashes will available to the public on Moleski’s site.
