Eva Longoria has jumped onto the bangs bandwagon! We figured something was up when the star posted a shot of herself in her hairstylist Ken Paves’ salon to Twitter on Valentine’s Day, and while running errands in Los Angeles yesterday, we got a glimpse of the finished look. “We’ve done every kind of look on her — long, short, pulled-up,” Paves told InStyle previously. “There’s really nothing she avoids.” Needless to say, we’re fans! The longer length makes room for versatility, allowing Longoria to wear her fringe to the front, or pushed to the side. Just because Katy Perry has retired her day-glo hair hues, that doesn’t mean she’s done experimenting! Over the weekend, the singer revealed her new shoulder-skimming cut and layered fringe, shortly after snapping a picture for Instagram. It’s no secret that Perry loves experimenting with her look, constantly drawing inspiration from the films, books, and TV shows she’s currently loving. “Comic books, Blade Runner, Lolita — so many inspirations come into play when I’m doing my hair and makeup,” the star told InStyle previously. “Every morning I think, who am I going to be today?” While the jury is still out on Perry’s most-recent hair muse, we’re getting a slight ’20s-era Louise Brooks feel from the short length and face-framing bangs, while the tousled texture holds a ’90s grunge vibe. Bye-bye bangs, hello long bob! We figured Taylor Swift was up to something when she posted pictures of her seemingly shorter ‘do to Instagram, but we couldn’t tell if it had actually been cut, or a camera trick combined with an aptly-placed Valencia filter. Turns out, it was the real deal — Swift was spotted in Perth, Australia shortly before taking the stage at her concert, rocking shoulder-length layers with choppy side swept bangs. Although heavy fringe was her signature look, she felt that she was overdue for an update. “While in the studio I came to the realization that my bangs are long enough to use as a sleep mask on long flights,” she wrote. “Then I remembered I don’t ever use sleep masks on flights. So really, I just need a haircut.” Change is good, and we think she wears her new look well. Tell us: Do you like Taylor’s cut, or do you miss her trademark style?
Rihanna has chopped her locks! Never one to shy away from a hair risk, the singer took to Instagram over the weekend to reveal her shorter cut with layered fringe. “Rihanna wanted something different, edgy, and fun, but simple at the same time,” Motions Celebrity Stylist Ursula Stephen told InStyle.com exclusively. “We don’t like neat or perfect hair — that balance of perfectly-imperfect has always been our thing.” Stephen has worked with the star for years, and duo has experimented with almost every style from a chic pixie to lengthy red strands. If Rihanna has you inspired to make a similar change, Stephen recommends paying extra attention to the little details. “The ends should be bumped tightly using a curling iron,” she added.
Camilla Belle has been switching up her look a lot lately — she got a bob in June — but her latest move? Blunt bangs! The actress debuted her new fringe at the “A Quest for Beauty: The Art of Van Cleef & Arpels” exhibit opening in Los Angeles over the weekend and we couldn’t help but do a double-take — she is almost unrecognizable. Wearing an embroidered Oscar de la Renta dress and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels, she paired her new hair with dramatic smoky eyes. Belle last rocked a similar look in 2008 when she had eye-skimming bangs, but much longer locks. Do you like her bold look? Tell us in the comments below!

Heidi Klum has revisited her brow-skimming fringe. Klum recently stepped out with new blunt bangs, and while we haven’t seen that style on her since 2009, the supermodel is always open to changing up her hair — as evidenced by the pink highlights she wore last year. “Because I get photographed a lot, I get bored with looking the same way, so I love to try new styles,” she told InStyle.com previously. “When my bangs grow out, it’s also really cool because you can push them to the side and create a completely different look.” We’re convinced that there isn’t a style that Klum can’t pull off, but she doesn’t get attached to any one in particular. “Sometimes I want something different, and hair always grows back,” she added. That’s the spirit! We want to know: do you like her hair with or without bangs? Tell us in the comments.

Ever since we added Katie Holmes‘ fringed bob to our Hollywood Makeover Tool in 2008, the style has reigned supreme as one of the the top try-ons. The star’s graphic cut has been sampled by over 54,000 people this year alone! That’s why when we spoke to Holmes at the New York City launch of Alterna’s Scented Dry Shampoos, we just had to ask her why she went for the style, and the inspiration behind her look. “I never had a bob before, and I was a new mom at the time, and I was tired of dealing with long hair — I just wanted something easier,” she told InStyle.com exclusively. “The style was inspired by French fashion, and French women.” These days, Holmes likes to wear her layers long, keeping her strands healthy by using equal parts of Alterna’s CC Cream and Dry Shampoo ($25 and $22; sephora.com) “I love putting in the CC Cream right out of the shower, and when I feel like sleeping in, I’ll use the dry shampoo and do multiple hair flips,” she added.

Confession time: Hailee Steinfeld‘s long, shiny strands never fail to give us hair envy, and her new bangs definitely have us considering cutting a set of our own! Earlier this week at the Young Hollywood Party in Los Angeles, the star showed off her wispy fringe, which hit right below the brow. The longer length allows the style to be worn in a variety of ways, and they even minimize the awkward growing-out period — once the bangs pass her eyes, they’ll blend seamlessly into the rest of Steinfeld’s layers.
