Fresh on the heels of OPI‘s Skyfall-inspired collection, the nail brand is looking to James Bond once again to launch a six-piece nail polish range based on the franchise’s most-memorable vixens. “It has been a thrill to create color for the women who have captured Bond’s attention over the last six decades,” said OPI co-founder and Artistic Director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “Worn without a top coat, these Liquid Sand lacquers give nails a pebbled, matte finish worthy of captivating the Bond girls’ name.” The shades range from the Ursula Andress-inspired gold to high-impact brights, and we love how each polish imparts a fashion-forward matte effect in just one swipe. OPI is bringing magic to your fingertips! The nail brand is set to launch a seven-piece range inspired by Disney’s upcoming film Oz: The Great and Powerful. “This collection captures the whimsy seen in the film, from glittery shades packed with white, gold, and iridescent confetti, to soft neutrals,” said OPI’s executive VP and artistic director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “The rich taupe hue (left) was designed for James Franco’s character, the great Wizard of Oz, and is sure to make a bold statement this spring.” And the antique metallic shade has a dose of sorcery built in—the lacquer features OPI’s new Liquid Sand effect, which creates a matte pebbled texture using small glitter particles. Gel polish may last longer than regular formulas, but—oops!— sometimes even the strongest manicure can chip. The fix isn’t as hard as you think, thanks to the easy to follow tips from our January issue!

IF YOU DID IT YOURSELF: First smooth the chipped area by gently buffing the nail’s surface. According to manicurist Jin Soon Choi, if you used an at-home kit spot apply two coats of color on top of the chip, curing each one as directed. Apply topcoat and cure it again for a quick remedy!

IF YOU WENT TO A SALON: If you got your mani done in a salon, find a close shade in a regular polish, touch up the area, and then apply a high gloss topcoat. “CND and OPI have regular and gel polish with the same names, so it’s easy to match those up,” says manicurist Julie Kandalec.
