Parisian designer Vanessa Bruno loves dressing American women! Hart of Dixie star Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth (who modeled in one of Bruno’s campaign videos) are both big fans of Bruno’s feminine, classically French clothes and accessories, and the adoration is mutual. “[Rachel] is a fantastic girl. Love her,” Bruno told InStyle.com at the grand opening of her New York popup shop. “I think they all capture this very chic, Parisian, easy-going [attitude]—but I still have a little twist of American girl in a chic, easy way. They catch it very well.” Bruno also told us that Sarah Jessica Parker and Scarlett Johansson were recently spotted shopping in her Paris and Los Angeles boutiques. Scarlett Johansson unleashed her inner vixen for Dolce & Gabbana’s The One Desire fragrance, donning a metallic smoky eye that mirrors the flacon’s black and gold detail in new campaign shots for the label, seen here. Desire is the latest addition to Dolce & Gabbana’s The One collection, and draws upon the floral notes of the original, with the sexy twist of a caramel-infused vanilla and tuberose heart. You’ll see this picture a lot more come spring, when the fragrance launches in stores for $79 to $112.

Holiday Hair Trend We Love: Pompadour Updos

Now this is one way to pump up the volume! Jessica Biel, Rihanna, and Scarlett Johansson each added a retro twist to their hairstyles by incorporating a mini-pompadour for recent appearances. Rihanna and Johansson opted for side-swept versions, while Biel’s finger-wave texture added a graphic edge. The extra height can dress up a familiar style like a bun or ponytail, and is a fun way to hide second-day strands. In fact, skipping a shampoo is recommended—clean, blown-out hair is too slippery to hold this style all day. To try this look, take out a section near the front of your head before securing your updo, and tease gently at the roots. Use a piece of unteased hair to hide the backcombing, and depending on your desired effect, secure the volume either at the side or top of your head. Voila!

Scarlett Johansson to Star in Broadway’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Scarlett Johansson is heading back to Broadway! After winning a Tony Award for her debut in A View From the Bridge, the actress will return to the Great White Way to play Maggie the Cat in the remake of Tennessee Williams’s 1955 classic, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The 27-year-old actress joins the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Natalie Wood, who both played the role in on-screen adaptations. Johansson will hit the stage opposite Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter star Benjamin Walker. The fifth Broadway revival of the show is set to open January 17 at the Richard Rodgers Theater.
