Azzedine Alaia to Open First Store in Decades

Jul 9, 2012 @ 5:30 pm

Now we have another reason to dream about jetting off to Paris! Azzedine Alaia, whose body-conscious designs are loved by celebrities like Katie Holmes, Paula Patton, and Gwyneth Paltrow, is opening his first store since his New York outpost closed in 1992. The flagship, which debuts next spring near Avenue Montaigne, the heart of Parisian luxury retail, will feature five floors and a courtyard area—the perfect setting for outdoor parties. While the designer has dressed his star clients for some of their most important moments—remember Sofia Coppola’s wedding gown and Kim Kardashian’s Oscars dress?—he prefers to keep a low profile, making this launch on the luxury shopping scene even more exciting!
