What did we expect at the What to Expect When You’re Expecting premiere? Nothing less than pretty off-the-runway looks from the cast’s leading ladies: Brooklyn Decker (in Giambattista Valli), Elizabeth Banks (in Alexander McQueen), Cameron Diaz (in Valentino), Jennifer Lopez (in Maria Lucia Hohan), and Anna Kendrick (in Elie Saab). As for working on a film about the pleasures—and pains—of pregnancy and becoming a mom, Banks said: “It was a great, really familiar thing.” (Banks is mom to son Felix.) So what’s her one mommy must-have? “Great help,” she said. “Grandma, for instance!” See more stars at last night’s hottest parties in the gallery.

Ashley Greene, Emma Stone, and Freida Pinto partied in Beverly Hills at a bash hosted by Louis Vuitton, and the trio decked themselves out in the luxury brand’s latest collection. Greene wore leather leggings, Stone chose a floaty embellished frock, and Pinto tried a black romper sweetened with a Peter Pan collar. Back in New York, Eva Mendes attended an after party for her new film, Last Night, where we caught up with the actress to talk about her latest role. Dita Von Teese’s Awesome Jewelry Storage Idea

Mar 31, 2011 @ 11:00 am

With all the gorgeous jewelry spotted on the red carpet, we’re often left wondering, where does it go? That’s what we asked Dita Von Teese when we caught up with her at Vivienne Westwood’s store opening in Los Angeles last night. “I designed a special edition jewel box for Cointreau [liquor],” Von Teese (in a Vivienne Westwood dress and Philip Treacy hat) told us. “I keep my jewelry in there, but I have a really big collection of jewelry, so I also took picture frames and padded them with red velvet and I pin all the brooches on it, so they make wall art.” What a crafty idea! Click through the gallery to see the rest of the Westwood party-goers—including Malin Akerman, Anna Kendrick, and Christina Hendricks, the face of Westwood’s Get a Life Palladium jewelry collection—and read some of their jewelry-storing tricks, too.

Barrymore, Akerman, Beauvais Toast to Rag & Bone

Mar 17, 2011 @ 11:19 am

Malin Akerman, Garcelle Beauvais, and more toasted to Rag & Bone when the label held a party at Intermix in Los Angeles this week. “I love Rag & Bone,” Beauvais told us. “Everything lately that I pick up and ask ‘What is this?’ It’s Rag & Bone.” The label’s designer David Neville was on hand to welcome guests, which also included Drew Barrymore, who stole the designer away from the crowd to chat with him privately in the corner while Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” and Cee Lo Green’s “Forget You” played in the background. Anna Kendrick Dishes on Eclipse Premiere Dress

Jun 4, 2010 @ 12:29 pm

With three-and-a-half weeks to go until Twilight: Eclipse‘s June 30th premiere, Anna Kendrick has yet to choose a dress—though she did dish on what she has in mind for her walk down the red carpet. “I want to do something fun…but I haven’t started trying on dresses yet,” she told us at the Dinner With a Designer Celebrating Brian Atwood, hosted by InStyle and the CFDA. “I usually go for short dresses—I’ll always go shorter rather than longer. I really love Alberta Ferretti.” The actress showed her love for minis at the dinner Wednesday night in a one-shoulder Alice + Olivia dress, which she paired with Brian Atwood peep-toe pumps. As for pre-premiere jitters, Kendrick, who was nominated for an Oscar earlier this year for her role in Up In The Air, didn’t seem too worried. “It’s my third time going to one of those premieres,” she said, “and I don’t feel quite as nervous as I did the first few times.”

Anna, Adam, Dianna & Mark: Paper Magazine’s Most Beautiful

Mar 30, 2010 @ 4:48 pm

Paper magazine’s Most Beautiful People 2010 skipped traditional Hollywood A-listers in favor of a bevy of fun, young stars like Up in the Air‘s Anna Kendrick, American Idol‘s controversial glam rocker Adam Lambert and Glee‘s dubious couple, Dianna Agron and Mark Salling. “When he told me, I just tried to act really cool,” Kendrick told them about finding out director Jason Reitman wrote the career-changing part with her in mind. “I wasn’t all that successful at it.” Adam Lambert isn’t so shy about his star power: “There’s been a void in mainstream music of a male performer who’s theatrical, campy, over the top. So I think that’s an interesting challenge—to fill that spot.” Mark Salling described his Glee character as “bad guy inside of a good guy inside of a bad guy” kind of complicated. “She’s deliciously evil and oscillates between being the mean girl and someone with an ounce of a heart,” Dianna Agron said of playing Quinn Fabray. Who else does Paper magazine deem easy on the eyes and so much more? See the rest of their most beautiful picks at papermag.com.
