Open Today: On The Road With Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, More

On The Road hits theaters nationwide today! The movie, which is a film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s classic autobiographical coming-of-age novel, stars Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams, and Garrett Hedlund as a gang of wandering souls who hit the road on a journey to find themselves. Sam Riley plays the Kerouac character, Sal Paradise. “We’re all such a tight-knit family because everybody was so passionate about the book,” Hedlund told InStyle.com at the Toronto International Film Festival. The ladies of the film had another way to bond—through the Danny Glicker-designed wardrobe on set, even those parts that remain unseen. “He is so caring and specific about details,” Stewart said. “Even with an article of clothing like an undergarment, he’s like ‘Do you feel pretty?’ Do you like it?’ He fuses you into it and allows you to feel a little responsible, involved.” Dunst enchoed that sentiment: “We had high-waisted underwear and bras with a pointed shape—you can tell because of the way your breasts look in the shirts is a more pointed silhouette.” Click here to see where the film is playing near you.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art never looked so romantic! The annual LACMA Art + Film Gala turned into a Couple’s Night Out on Saturday, where superstar pairs enjoyed a night to honor two new exhibitions at the museum, featuring the work of filmmaker Stanley Kubrick and artist Ed Ruscha. Newlyweds—and new parents—Drew Barrymore (in Lanvin) and Will Kopelman showed off pictures of their new daughter Olive with soon-to-be-married pals Jennifer Aniston (in Tom Ford) and Justin Theroux, while Darren Le Gallo escorted his Gucci-glad fiancee Amy Adams inside the affair. Found It! Amy Adams’s Ballerina Pink Lipstick

Oct 24, 2012 @ 10:10 am

Amy Adams perfected the minimalist look at the Hollywood Film Awards Gala in Los Angeles with her subtle champagne eye shadow and rosy nude lipstick. “I have always loved Amy’s face,” said her makeup artist Stephen Sollitto. ”She goes from girl next door got movie star in an instant. After five years of working together, this fact still stuns me.” Sollitto used Jouer’s Hydrating Lipstick in Meredith on the star. “For this look, I needed the lip to show up and have a bit of pink, but not overshadow the eye. It reads beautifully.” Meredith is a one-size-fits-all neutral, which uses Brazillian cupuaçu butter in the formula to keep your pucker hydrated. Pick up the shade for $22 at jouercosmetics.com.

Amy Adams Models Band of Outsiders’ Boy Collection

Oct 12, 2012 @ 11:17 am

Band of Outsiders has some strict criteria when choosing who represents the label: Sweet young thing. Brilliant actress. And an Oscar nod or two doesn’t hurt. That pretty much describes the house’s face for its Boy collection last season, Michelle Williams. And it can also be said of Amy Adams , who is featured in this season’s campaign. The star of The Master is shown in the brand’s trademark vintage Polaroid style, wearing items from designer Scott Sternberg’s fall collection as she frolics at the Autry Museum in Glendale, California. We think she strikes a perfect balance between playful and dramatic.
