In celebration of the upcoming movie The Muppets, out November 23rd, we added Miss Piggy’s hairstyle to our Hollywood Makeover Tool, which means now you can see yourself in her signature blond bob. To test what it would look like on non-diva puppets, we tried the Notorious P.I.G.’s look on her co-stars, including Amy Adams, Jason Segel, and Rashida Jones, as well as her longtime love, Kermit the Frog. Check out all of the stars’ Piggy makeovers in the gallery! Then, visit the Hollywood Makeover Tool to try the look on yourself.

Amy Adams Is InStyle’s December Cover Girl!

Amy Adams is InStyle’s December cover girl! In this issue, we catch up with the three-time Oscar nominee to find out the secret to balancing motherhood, love, and work in a single bound. “I’m definitely not one of those women who make it look easy,” she says. “But I’m more patient than I ever thought I would be, and I’m not hard on myself anymore.” And there’s a lot for the perpetually-cheerful actress to cheer for lately: Her latest movie, The Muppets, comes out November 23rd, and she’s cast as Lois Lane in the next Superman movie. Her greatest role, however, is as mom to 19-month-old daughter Aviana Olea, who she raises with her actor and artist fiancé (since 2008) Darren Le Gallo. One thing she learned from parenthood so far? Know when to cut yourself a break. “I read about these actresses who get on a stationary bike two weeks after giving birth and I’m like, ‘What? Where did you push your baby out of?’ Since having Aviana, I have a muffin top, and that’s OK right now.”  For more of our exclusive interview with Amy Adams, pick up the new December issue of InStyle, on newsstands Friday.

Celebrity Jewelry Designer Jamie Wolf’s Ballet-Inspired 10th Anniversary Collection

Nov 8, 2011 @ 6:15 pm

Jamie Wolf is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her jewelry company by launching The Signature Collection, a lineup of pieces that captures her biggest inspiration—ballet. “I’m continually inspired by ballet, and that concept of timeless elegance and beauty,” says Wolf, who became a professional ballet dancer at 18 and went on to dance for the New York City Ballet for a decade. The Signature Collection features designs she created while still dancing as part of the company and are all named after different ballets, including the Amy Adams-favorite gold thorn-like earrings shown here, aptly named Sleeping Beauty. She’s also using the collection as a way to give back: 50% of proceeds will be donated to New York City Ballet’s grassroots fundraising campaign, Turn Out. See some of the pieces in the gallery, and shop the collection on jamiewolf.com.

Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansson, More Celebrate Children’s Defense Fund

Apr 21, 2011 @ 10:45 am

Coach hosted an evening of cocktails in support of the Children’s Defense Fund in Santa Monica last night, and the leading ladies of Hollywood showed up to celebrate—and shop! “I don’t need to shop to celebrate the Children’s Defense Fund,” Jennifer Garner told InStyle on her way into the soiree. “The work they do to advocate for and help children living in poverty in the United States is so important.” Once inside, guests including Scarlett Johansson, Amy Adams, and Zoe Saldana perused Coach’s new collections, and even Coach’s new classic vintage ‘70s styles for Net-a-Porter.com were on display (Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks walked away with the collection’s crimson shoulder bag). See more stars who shopped for a cause in the gallery.
