After a #heartbreaking hiatus, Glee is back with an all-new episode tonight! Finn (Cory Monteith), fresh off his split with Rachel (Lea Michele), is back at McKinley High not as a student, but as co-director of this year’s musical, Grease. When Finn starts having doubts about his new role, Artie (Kevin McHale) calls on McKinley alums Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.) to lend a hand. And best of all, Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) is back harassing students and teachers alike. She directs her wrath at Finn: “William, maybe you should remind Chubby-Wan Kenobi the daily nightmare that is born of being my enemy.” Hopefully, he can stay on her good side! Tune in to FOX tonight at 9/8c to see the Glee cast perform songs from the musical. If you can’t wait to hear their versions of Grease’s hit songs, you can buy the show’s Glease album now.

Glee’s Deleted Bridesmaids Scene: See Rachel’s Audrey Hepburn Dress

Aug 3, 2012 @ 12:00 pm

Ryan Murphy’s been Tweeting up a behind-the-scenes storm! First, the Glee creator shared this picture of Lea Michele and Kate Hudson on the set of his hit show’s fourth season. Then, he Tweeted this deleted scene between Chris Colfer’s Kurt and Darren Criss’s Blaine (or “Klaine” to Gleeks) from season three’s Christmas special. And now, thanks to all the requests he’s received for it, @MrRPMurphy uploaded the missing Bridesmaids-inspired scene promised from Rachel’s (Michele) and Finn’s (Cory Monteith) would-have-been wedding. All the McKinley ladies are here, and we get a chance to see Rachel’s adorable tea-length white dress, created by the show’s costume designers and L’ezu‘s Patricia Nevil, up close. “We used Audrey Hepburn’s wedding dress in Funny Face as inspiration for Rachel Berry’s dress,” costume assistant Mojdeh Daftary told InStyle.com. Here’s our comparison—they were so spot-on! Watch the scene above.

The Glee Bridesmaids’ Look: Target and Ivanka Trump!

Glee fans geared up for the Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) and Finn Hudson (Cory Montieth) wedding during last night’s episode, and we were excited to see what the type-A Rachel planned for her big day. Thanks to the researchers at fashionofglee.tumblr.com, we know the hot pink belted bridesmaids dresses that Mercedes (Amber Riley), Sugar (Vanessa Lengies), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), Brittany (Heather Morris), and Santana (Naya Rivera) wore are from the Merona Collection at Target, and they accessorized with ivory pointed-toe heel by Ivanka Trump. It’s nice to see the costume designers kept the look budgety-friendly and high-school appropriate—the dress sold for $40, though it’s no longer in stores, and the patent pumps are available for $120 at zappos.com. Sadly, with Quinn’s (Dianna Agron) accident, the “I dos” never happened. Here’s to hoping they’ll pick up where they left off when the show returns in April! Tell us: Do you like their bridesmaids look? Let us know in the comments!

Glee: Amber Riley Sings Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You’

Feb 15, 2012 @ 11:15 am

It’s been only a few days since the passing of Whitney Houston, and pop culture staples are finding interesting ways to honor the legendary singer. Glee aired its tribute during its Valentine’s Day special last night, with Amber Riley singing Houston’s classic, “I Will Always Love You.” The song had been in the show’s lineup for a while—Riley’s character Mercedes Jones sang it to her summer love, Sam (Chord Overstreet)—so it’s just happenstance the episode aired after Houston’s tragic death. “We were celebrating her in life when we recorded it, and now that she has died, we’re celebrating her passing and her legacy,” Riley, who had just met Houston days before, told the E! team of singing the tune. Watch her performance above, and tell us: Did you enjoy Riley’s rendition?

Glee Makeup Secrets, Straight From the Set!

We caught up with the head of Glee‘s makeup department, Eryn Krueger Mekash to get the inside scoop on just why the cast looks so effortlessly good. “I was asked to do the pilot in the fall of 2008 and it has really become a makeup artist’s ideal show,” she told us. Special episodes, of course, have been a highlight. The “Thriller” episode that aired after the Super Bowl featured 25 zombies in full prosthetics—which called for a staff of 19 makeup artists. But Krueger Mekash has also spent hours perfecting the character’s flawless, everyday looks—and it shows. (The makeup department has been nominated for two Emmys!) Click through our gallery to see the key products that make Rachel, Quinn and Mercedes glow. And tune in to FOX tonight at 8/7c for a brand new episode!

SAG Awards: Glee Fashion!

Jan 30, 2011 @ 10:49 pm

The Glee ladies shined on the SAG Awards red carpet. Most of the cast’s leading ladies chose light colors, like Lea Michele in a sparkly dress by Oscar de la Renta, Heather Morris in a blush chiffon Romona Keveza gown and Jayma Mays in a peach Jenny Packham dress that featured a beaded sleeve. Meanwhile, Amber Riley and Dianna Agron both chose dark hues; Riley in a black Anne Barge mermaid gown and Agron in a navy tea-length Chanel couture look. “I’ve never felt girlier!” said Agron, pictured. See the Glee cast’s red-carpet style in the gallery.
