Kate Hudson is baring it all in her latest Almay campaign! We got a sneak peek at Hudson’s shoot for the brand’s Bold Nudes Intense i-Color Palette, where she contrasted her glamorous role as Cassandra on Glee with a more natural look. “I think we [wanted] Cassandra to be heavy in terms of her makeup,” Hudson told us at the palette’s launch. “We did a little more than normal because she’s a little bit harder, and we wanted to make sure that you can really see the makeup.” And the trio of shadows can accommodate her character’s flair for dramatic makeup, too. The tawny neutrals work for smoky and minimalist looks alike, and come in shades to flatter every eye color. Kate Hudson had a busy day yesterday! Right after she helped Almay launch its Intense i-Color Bold Nudes and Smart Shade Mousse Makeup Launch event at The NoMad Hotel in New York City, the actress headed uptown to the Broadway Screening Room to host a private screening for pal Naomi Watts’s upcoming film, The Impossible. With the movie focusing on the true-life story of how a family survived the Indian Ocean tsunami, we asked the 3.1 Phillip Lim-dressed Hudson about her own family. “The more kids, the less time for anything!” the mother of 18-month-old Bing and 8-year-old Ryder told InStyle.com. “There is just so much life in our house and so much laughter. There’s just nothing in the world more wonderful watching your children just enjoy each other and have so much joy.” Click through to see more photos from this week’s biggest parties!
Kate Hudson shot a commercial for Almay’s new wake-up liquid makeup and only InStyle.com has the behind-the-scenes shots of Kate on set! “The whole concept is that waking up is not always the easiest thing to do,” Hudson said of the formula. “It makes sense that putting something on your skin, your lips, your face, can make you feel fresh in the morning, and it really does do that.” The foundation sets a luminous finish and provides an SPF 20, it’s also oil and fragrance free and doesn’t contain talc or parabens. Check it out for $12.99 at almay.com, and click through the photos to see more of Kate Hudson at the shoot.
Kate Hudson’s skin always looks flawless, which is why we caught up with the new mom and Almay brand ambassador to find out how she maintained her radiant glow during pregnancy and beyond. “When I was pregnant, I found that I did have a lot of hormonal skin issues,” Hudson told InStyle.com. “I had to adjust my skincare routine accordingly during those nine months, and again after I had my son Bingham.” Find out how she did it, and learn her top five skin secrets in the gallery.
Kate Hudson has just been named the global brand ambassador for Almay. As the beauty company’s newest face, the actress will appear in print, TV and Internet ad campaigns as well as represent Almay’s philanthropic efforts, starting tonight with the Almay Rainforest Concert at N.Y.C’s Carnegie Hall. “Almay is known for its fresh, effortless approach to beauty. I’m honored to be partnering with a brand that believes cosmetics should bring out the natural beauty inside every woman,” Hudson said in a statement. “At the end of the day we all want to have fun and feel beautiful.” With her sunny personality and infectious smile, we have no doubt Hudson will succeed in inspiring women to do just that.
