Oct 1, 2010 @ 11:00 am

Secrets don’t make friends, or so they say, and Juliet (Katie Cassidy) is determined to keep hers from Nate (Chace Crawford). The scheming sorority girl plays the innocent victim and definitely looks the part in a flowing Bibhu Mohapatra printed gown, Brian Atwood shoes, MCL statement necklace and Nancy Gonzalez clutch on his unsuspecting arm. Sexy Style at Roberto Cavalli’s 40th Anniversary Bash

Sep 30, 2010 @ 10:42 am

Sexy details like leopard print and sequins prevailed at Roberto Cavalli’s 40th anniversary bash at Les Beaux-Arts de Paris last night. Stars and supermodels alike celebrated the designer’s four decades of decadent fashion with champagne and treats, while viewing a display of some of Cavalli’s most famous vintage gowns. Rachel Bilson wowed in an off-the-shoulder leopard print gown alongside pal Taylor Swift (the pair took in his Spring 2011 show earlier this week in Milan) in a daring black minidress. Kylie Minogue performed “Can’t Get You Outta My Head” and “All the Lovers” and Mr. Cavalli himself thanked the well-dressed crowd with the help of Heidi Klum and a 10-foot white and gold cake. Click through the gallery below to see all the stars at the sexy fete.

Designer Duds to Discard? Styleta.com is Your New Dropoff

Sep 29, 2010 @ 5:18 pm

You know that saying “one person’s trash is another person’s treasure”? Whenever I hear it, I think of my closet—and how hard it is to get rid of once-beloved purchases that, while no longer worn, still seem too good to purge. So what should you do with valuable designer clothes you no longer wear when you know another fashionista somewhere would appreciate them? Check out Styleta.com, a not-for-profit organization that sells donated designer clothes to benefit charity. The new site was launched by Harvard senior Yifan Zhang after she won a grant from her school. “I started [the site] after realizing that successful women did not have a place to donate their designer clothing,” she told us. “There have been so many rewarding experiences, but my favorite was when we wrote our first donation check to the homeless shelter in Harvard Square. It was such an affirmation of Styleta’s impact.” Follow Yifan (pictured on the right with designer Camilla Staerk) and her feel-good fashion adventure on her official blog, and learn how to donate—and shop!—at Styleta.com.
