Newly released photos of Marilyn Monroe feature the icon looking more casual and candid than ever. Legendary photojournalist Eve Arnold snapped Monroe on the set of her 1961 film The Misfits, co-starring Clark Gable and directed by her ex-husband Arthur Miller. “[Monroe] liked my pictures and was canny enough to realize that they were a fresh approach for presenting her—a looser, more intimate look than the posed studio portraits she was used to in Hollywood,” Arnold told BBC news. The photographs are currently featured in an exhibition at the Westover Gallery and 495 autographed prints are being sold. Maroon 5′s front man, Adam Levine is launching a fashion collection called 222 (his lucky number), complete with both a men’s and women’s line. “I’m passionate about fashion…what you wear reflects some kind of attitude towards style,” the singer told WWD. And in Levine’s case, this means minimal: “It’s very simple and pure and durable,” said Levine, who is partnering on the collection with his father Fred Levine. “Jeans, T-shirts and a leather jacket…There will be no bedazzling in this collection. I like subtlety in design.”
