InStyle Senior Market Editor Dana Avidan-Cohn (@InStyleDana) stopped by the Today show this morning to share five of her favorite shopping apps and websites that will help you score the best deals. She’s telling you how to nab that Alexander Wang bag you’ve been coveting for the lowest price—see her picks below and get shopping now.
What it does: It lets you scan item barcodes while you’re walking around a store, and then tells you if any local stores or online retailers have the item for cheaper.
The best part: You can also follow stores or products you’re interested in and by adding them to your favorites; the app will tell you when your favorite store is having a sale or a particular item gets marked down. It’ll also tell you if the store you’re in offers a price match policy.
What it does: It allows you to browse and “Hukk” specific products, down to the size and color, and it will add them to your personal wishlist. Once an item is “Hukked” and saved, the app will automatically send you an email when the item goes on sale. Notifications via email or text will pop up the moment the product gets marked down.
The best part: It’s not just for end of the season markdowns—the app also compiles all the different coupons and promotions and emails you when they apply to the item you’ve Hukked.
What it does: It pushes deals and coupons to your smartphone when you’re near or in your favorite stores.
The best part: It also allows you to select your favorites stores in advance so you’re not bombarded by deals for stores you aren’t interested in. You’ll never miss a sale with this app.
What it does: It takes the hassle out of finding a specific item by allowing you to choose a type of product, like a black shirt, and shows you all the online retailers where it’s available and the different costs, allowing you to choose the one that’s the cheapest.
The best part: You can filter items by brand, price, color, shipping options, and more. Plus, you can save items and be notified when they go on sale.
What it does: Automatically applies coupon codes to your shopping cart during checkout.
The best part: When you’re about to check out on an online store, a golden Honey bar will appear next to the promo code bar that says “Find Savings.” Click on it, and Honey will scour the web for discount codes and try multiple ones in just a few seconds. It will then apply the best one found to your cart.
