This is a first! Designer Karl Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette is set to star in Shu Uemura’s holiday makeup campaign. Lagerfeld has collaborated with the Japanese beauty brand before (he created a collection for them in 2012 and uses Shu Uemura products to hand-color his illustrations), but this time his famous Siamese kitty will be in the spotlight.

Choupette, who already has her own Twitter and Instagram account, is set to become an even bigger star. Renamed “Shupette” for the project, Lagerfeld, who often goes behind the camera, shot the campaign images himself (above) and sketched his cat in honor of her new gig (below). The Shupette by Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura collection will be unveiled later this fall, and will feature fun items like furry false lashes and “claw” polishes. We can’t wait to see what the full line includes, and what exactly Choupette’s ads will look like.
