We’re only starting to ease into summer, but Balenciaga is giving us a reason to get excited for fall with their upcoming scent launch. As if Alexander Wang weren’t busy enough gearing up for his H&M collaboration, the designer is making his fragrance debut with the B Balenciaga scent, which is set to arrive on store shelves in October. Wang has been the brand’s creative director since 2012, and we love how the perfume’s streamlined flacon is decked out in his signature aesthetic—complete with a cutout letter B on the cap. “The glass treatment felt very artisanal, yet refined, and the texture also reminded me of veins of marble and the marble theme that was in my first collection for the house,” he tells WWD. “I knew I wanted something straightforward, pure and simple.”
The scent itself proves to be just as chic, blending lily of the valley with green notes like violet leaves, iris root, and green edamame accord, which are all balanced by a woody base. The stunning campaign (above) will roll out in October publications to line up with the launch, and you’ll be able to pick up a bottle for yourself at Sephora, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom outposts.
