Diane von Furstenberg is in the midst of a yearlong celebration of the 40th anniversary of her iconic wrap dress, and the party doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon! The designer has now launched what will be a year-long digital campaign that follows her wrap dress around the world. Called “Journey of a Dress” (the same name as her LACMA exhibit that’s currently on view), the project will feature a series of stylish influencers taking their von Furstenberg “New Jeanne Two” wrap dresses in classic black and white chain link on a global tour. The fashionistas will document their journeys through social media—including Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and more—and once their dresses journey is done, the next girl will take over.
Coca Rocha kicked off the campaign in February, and filmed a video about her “wrap story” that will go live on dvf.com later this week. Other participants include Emma Roberts, Jourdan Dunn, and bloggers Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad, Betty Autier of Le Blog de Betty, Chriselle Lim of The Chriselle Factor, and Jessica Stein of Tuula Vintage—all who will bring you along on the many adventures of their dress.
