Piro T-Shirt Campaign

Footwear brand Piro has turned its attention to the plight often overlooked in the U.S: poverty-stricken families unable to afford proper footwear. In an effort to help, the brand has partnered up with Nekoda Witsken, a 21-year-old artist, to design a limited edition “Love Does Not See in Black and White” charitable T-shirt. For every shirt bought, Piro will donate a pair of shoes to Soles4Souls, a not-for-profit charity organization that collects used footwear and re-distribute them to people in need.

“We see lots of press for those in need abroad, but felt it critical to use our donations to benefit those in crisis here in the United States,” Peter Asquini, Chief Executive Officer of Piro, said in a statement. “The opportunity to give back to the community just makes sense to us.”

Piro hopes to donate 10,000 pairs of shoes this year—a noble end goal if we ever saw one. With more designers looking to contribute charitable tees, Piro’s ongoing campaign is off to a good start. “The simple truth is that our customers will be taking a step to making the world a better place for all of us—and they’re doing this simply by purchasing this T-shirt,” Asquini said. Join in on the cause and pick up a tee for $40 at pirohas.com.
