InStyle‘s Fashion News Director Eric Wilson and Fashion Director Cindy Weber Cleary are in the midst of Paris Fashion Week, and after attending Dior‘s fall/winter 2014 show the pair couldn’t wait to give us their thoughts on the collection. Raf Simons’ vision for the the powerful and energetic city woman came through in these wearable clothes, and the designer simplified from seasons past. Focusing more on tailoring and proportions, this season was less about the embellishments. “Raf comes from a menswear background and I always love a woman in tailoring, and he does it beautifully,” Weber Cleary states. “I was surprised, though, because last season was so romantic and mysterious.”

The vivid color palette showed off the beautiful silhouettes, proving that sometimes less really is more. “This collection was very grounded. Real clothes for real women who work, who live in the city, and who are trying to get around fast,” says Weber Cleary. A can’t miss moment? “Make sure you check out the shoes, which look like a pump, but feel like a sneaker,” says Wilson. See the review in full by watching the video above.
