After a series of snowpocalypses (not to mention, one killer polar vortex), this winter was almost intolerable. But things are looking up for fall/winter 2014! It looks like next winter will be a tad more bearable, thanks to designers who are bringing indoor comfort outdoors with wearable blankets. Calla Haynes of Calla fashioned a makeshift topper by belting a fuzzy throw over a pretty print dress. Tommy Hilfiger reimagined the blanket altogether, stitching together a navy blanket plaid mohair dress, which further explored the concept of his collection: a modern-day woman taking on the great American outdoors. And finally, Christopher Bailey granted each model a monogrammed jacquard-woven blanket poncho at Burberry Prorsum, much to everyone’s surprise and envy (here’s how you can score one of your own). As big fans of warmth and comfort, we’re completely wrapped up in this trend.
