Designer: Jason Wu

Location: 82 Mercer Street

Notable guests: Hannah Bronfman, Harley Viera Newton, and Leandra Medine

What was it like: The extra long runway was adorned with an ornate archway that each model walked though. The minimalist, concrete catwalk allowed the rich textures used in the looks to really pop.

Why we love this collection: Supermodel Adriana Lima opened the show in sharp, head-to-toe black which set the tone for the moody, luxe collection. Shades of gray lead into a handful of rich eggplant, amethyst and plum-hued looks that played with the idea of soft and strong (think barely-there slip dresses paired with heavy overcoats). The silhouettes and textures—from floor-sweeping velvet gowns to shearling-lined jackets—were a study in extremes. Adding to the softly glamorous feel of the collection were fur-covered handbags and sexy ankle-strap heels. Closing out the show was Karlie Kloss, in her first runway appearance so far this week.
