Goop and Amour Vert Get Eco-Friendly (and Help Grow a Forest) With Their New CollaborationFeb 6, 2014 @ 11:35 am
Goop is going from chic to eco-friendly thanks to their latest collaboration with the contemporary women’s ready-to-wear brand, Amour Vert and their exclusive line of T-shirts. The partnership marks the brand’s first capsule collection—which includes four shirts made from organic fabrics, silk dyed and printed with low impact dyes—available only on Gwyneth Paltrow‘s e-commerce site for a limited time only.
But there’s more to these tops than their intricate prints and silky feel, in fact, there’s an opportunity to help grow a forest! How so? For every Trisha tee sold ($85)—which along with the other two tops have been produced and manufactured locally in San Francisco—a tree will be planted in the Tahoe National Forest. Not a bad tradeoff for being chicly eco-conscious!
“This capsule reflects the essence and unique styles of both Amour Vert & Goop and we could not be happier with the final product,” says founder Linda Balti in a statement. “We believe there are many good reasons for planting trees, but the most important thing for us is that we use wood pulp in the development of some garments. This program allows us to directly give back to the environment and to future generations.” To have a tree grown in your honor, shop the full organic collection—ranging in price between $85 to $218—on goop.com now before they’re all gone.
