In just one month, 2014 has already seen a flurry of inclement weather. The first winter storm of the year Hercules thundered through, wreaking havoc in its path, while the infamous Polar Vortex of the North froze a good majority of the nation into a chilling stand-still. Yesterday, snowmageddon (aka Janus) struck again, suspending the East Coast in a snow globe of sorts. Though pretty and whimsical to gaze at, plowing through the unrelenting downfall was an entirely different story—let alone looking chic while at it.

But three stars put their sartorial knowledge to the test, piecing together impossibly stylish ensembles to brave the blizzard. Jessica Alba doubled up on headwear, topping off her fur trapper hat with the hood from her ivory toggle coat. Cozy knits underneath, plus heavy-duty boots proved to rebuff the elements. Yvonne Strahovski gave her winter apparel the monochromatic treatment, matching her belted camel coat with knee-high boots. Sarah Jessica Parker chose to get cozy in down, picking up her girls in a puffer, complete with shearling boots and a gray pom-pom beanie—adorable! Here’s hoping this is the last storm we’ll see in a while, but in the off-chance of another whiteout, we’re definitely taking cues from this fashionable trio.
