Gwen Stefani Aims to Replace Your Jeans with Her New PantsJan 6, 2014 @ 1:30 pm
Move over denim, there are new basics in town! Gwen Stefani and denim guru Michael Glasser have partnered up to create DWP (Design With Purpose), a non-denim line that intends to replace the five-pocket staple by offering casual clothes with chic attitude that work in your wardrobe as easily as jeans do.
The first collection features high-low tanks, motorcycle vests, and cropped T-shirts, but the real stand-outs are the pants. Made from Tencel, an eco-friendly fabric, the bottoms are a slouchy, slightly tapered, cropped trouser treated with the same cutting-edge techniques used on premium denim. Meant to be worn with anything, the resulting pants mimic black leather, broken-in denim, or brushed silk and are lightweight with asymmetric zip-flies and cuffs that can be worn rolled up or down. Similar to styles Stefani has worn herself, these pants seem to have it all — comfort and style.
All about everyday wear, DWP’s 18-piece line exudes cool and is universally appealing. With two clothing lines and her recently released nail polish collection for OPI, Gwen sure is one busy rocker! The sure-to-be covetable line of outfit staples will be available this spring, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
