What’s the on-trend exercise all the stars from Hugh Jackman to Miranda Kerr are doing? Meditation! At David Lynch Foundation’s fifth annual “Change Begins Within” benefit gala last night at the Conrad New York hotel, Hugh Jackman, his wife Deborra-Lee, and host Jerry Seinfeld brought awareness about the benefits of meditation and helped raised funds to bring the exercise training to 1,000 service veterans and first responders in New York City who are suffering from post-traumatic stress.

“I think this is a wonderful occasion,” Jackman said to InStyle.com.”It’s celebrating something that has changed our lives and that is really giving back to many people. It’s a relativity easy tool that is available to anyone and I just want people to understand and be aware of it.” Jackman and his wife, who both practice meditation twice a day for twenty minutes, are strong supporters of the exercise and vouch for its benefits. “If one person becomes aware of this tonight, it could change their life,” added Deborra-Lee.

With an already-devoted star fan base, mediation is a simple exercise to practice, and who better to give advice on how beginners should start than by the Jackman’s themselves. “Don’t think you have to do anything,” Deborra-Lee advised. “Just be.” And it’s simple as that.
